Tex is underrated, one of Marvel's best artists of the 90's. His work on Wolverine and the Sabretooth miniseries is great, too.

I understand how he's tied to the occult side of Marvel, but it's unfortunate Ghost Rider isn't presented more outside of it like the initial Robbie stuff, because a supernatural physiology is perfect to bullshit how a Ghost Rider survives conventional injuries that would cripple or kill someone compared to preptime, but his abilities, Penance stare chiefly, are logically how best to deal with crime compared to punch ups. Which he can still do, but the point is when he gets to the big bad there's no nonsense about the futility of law with corruption in play or that killing them won't solve anything. He attacks the soul of the stone causing the biggest ripples and logically that will reduce them. It also most affects those who are most deserving of it, unlike someone being Franked where later writers can retcon that however many deaths were undue.

It is of course likely that all this efficiency is why he isn't given much play, readers want moral greys and struggle, writers want to subvert expectations and when those run out; subversions. A dog chasing it tail.

A Ghost Rider finding a vile shithole and going to town is "too stock" for people's sensibilities.
Which is odd considering films like Dredd and Raid got great reception for cutting most of the bullshit to get to the not-necessarily-all-good-but-clearly-good-reasoned protagonists effectively dealing with scumbags. If a Ghost Rider movie had been made in that vein, in the vein of The Crow, a horror revenge slasher sort of thing I think he'd be up there with Blade by now.

street level ghost rider is such a no brainer as a concept that its a shame it barely appears, the early danny ketch stories have a fair bit of it which has been nice to read through though

There any good short Ghost Rider runs? One shots and short self contained things?

Curious as how that was the only time in GR's history that the book was a hit.

Has he done ANYTHING lately? I can't remember the last time I saw a book with his art.
