DC it's Superman, Batman, Flash
Marvel it's X-Men, Spider-Man, Hulk

Everything else is mostly temporary popularity or propped up by a single actor like Iron Man.

You would really think Marvel would try to capitalize on the popularity they made up of their own trinity 15 years ago. But they seem incredibly hesitant to use Captain America in anything at all.

Instead they have been plugging Captain Carter and Falcon Cap for longer than they ever did Steve Cap, the guy that made the character popular in the first place.

Same with Thor, he seems contained in his own movies and that's it/ Never really appears in anything else and the character has become 2nd rate all over again from no use or exposure.
