Now that covid is over can we finally wake up an realize Indie animation still isn't sustainable
Not post adpocalypse which was 15 years ago now. Here's the only way it will work.We have tue big huge streamers. They have to keep their streams running a long time to keep their revenue up.Streamers need breaks.Dead air kills viewership worse than anything. The solution is for animators to license their shows to streamers.Streamers air the show to take breaks.Animators get a guarenteed revenue. Large lump sums, not irregular trickles from yt monetization. It is the bozos circus model. The streamer has a show which is the main draw of his audience, and takes intermitent breaks airing someone else's content.
Doesn't matter, anyone who wants to see more of it has to do their part and be the change they wanna see in the world. Make your cartoon, put it out there, accept that it's very unlikely anyone will watch it or that you'll make much if any profit off of it, take that risk anyway, because you miss 100% of the shots you don't take
The main problem now is that PNGtubers trashing indie shows make more than the indie cartoons themselves
