5 dollar minimum on a book that’s probably dogshit is asinine desu. But we said these same things when it was made 4 dollars. And 3 dollars. It’s not going to stop. It can’t. They’re losing too many sales and they have to try to make it up somehow. We all know they aren’t going to spend more to get better talent. Their only real option is to continuously do this until everyone’s just gone. As much as I love the medium I hope marvel specifically crumbles to the ground. Can’t think of a company that deserves what’s coming more than them.
The only thing that's gonna save comics is if you change the whole structure of them, how you're printing books. Change the size of your pages and what content is drawn per page, change the color printing. You could easily get 40 monthly pages for $5 or so if you just rework how you handle the direction of comics. More if you're really willing to change things, but 40-44 pages can be a start.

The only Marvel books I am getting are Alias and silver surfer reprints atm, and alias ends before the price increase. If I was reading a lot of marvel books I'd be really annoyed, and for sure I'm not picking anything new up from them now, but I will take the hits on silver surfer.
