he actually played the roles he was given by marvel quite well, and despite how others felt I enjoyed the "man at the end of time" bit in Loki. Ant-man wasn't the worst either. I think Thanos delivering the "I am inevitible" is weakened by Kang existing, but Marvel has been such a mess post-endgame that I don't blame them. My only question is that old guy from Loki, was that the original Loki who got captured by Kang's TVA? and our Loki must sit on that throne eternally and never interact with his brother directly?
>>153612295>Ant-man wasn't the worst eitherPlease never post anything ever again
>>153612316Shut up prick, it wasn't the worst. >Thunderbolts>The Marvels>Eternals>Shang Chinone of which are as enjoyable as Ant up your ass man
>Went from MCU to DailyWire+Oh....oh fuck
>>153612479I was with you up until Shang Chi. I thought that one was pretty good. Not the best, but way better than Quantumania.
>>153612573I'll admit it was the best of those films. I may have to give it a second chance and rewatch it
>>153612743Thanks for taking that into consideration.I actually haven't watched Thunderbolts yet. Did I dodge a bullet?
>>153612295I found this Kang to be underwritten and pretty weak character for that, when you get down to it, his motivation is being butthurt that the other Kangs beat him and outside of that he's a petty asshole that pretends to be deeper than he is, because Marvel saved whatever human aspect he could have for Kang Dynasty or something.
SHEEEIT
>>153612295he was great in Loki>>153612947I didn't mind it when the implication was they struggled beating the shittiest one and would have big problems dealing with competent ones. Hated they shitcanned the entire storyline, I didn't even need it to be the endpoint of a "saga" but they could have done SOMETHING with the shit.
Does anyone still wish he WUZ KANG, or does no one really care?
>>153615373Imagine if they hyped up thanos for infinity war then revealed it would be some completely unrelated villain who murdered thanos off-screen. would be nice to have some damn closure is all
>>153612203I don’t understand why Marvel didn’t just keep him in the movies. I mean, he was playing the VILLAIN, someone people are supposed to root AGAINST. It’s not like he was a hero to look up to. Him being a POS IRL just adds to his role.
>>153615616just like Robert Downey jr being an alcoholic playboy added to iron man, enhancing the realism of his arc both in real life and the mcu
>>153612905they could have condensed it down to 90 minutes and the plot wouldn't be diminished. too many 'character moments' for a bunch of new people we'll either never see again. Perhaps if you get invested in one of the characters you might enjoy it, but god help you if you're a bucky fan
>>153612508Is he Mr. Birchum's Based Black Friend?
>>153616959No he's going to lead in their next live action movie where he already had an onset injury
>>153612947He was clearly the strongest after He Who Remains. The others had to gang up on him and beat his ass. That Kang lost to antman made all the other Kangs start shitting themselves at the other mcu heroes wrecking their operation.
>>153615373>>153615616>>153615924Whatever they're doing in Doomsday would likely make more sense if they just recast Kang. Its funny how they fucked themselves. Introduce variants. Variants can look different (Spider-Man). Do a big post credit with a billion Majors Kang instead of leaving the Kang variants open for some other blacktors just in case. 2 months later he gets in trouble for roughing up that crazy white woman. Disney shits itself and threatens to axe Feige. Feige fires him and hits the emergency button with rdj and makes him fucking Doom of all people. RDJ being Doom makes Doomsday and Secret Wars more of a pain in the ass regarding its story than if they cast some literal who to be Doom.
>>153615924That shit was several years behind Downey. He didn't become an addict after being cast as Iron Man anon.
>>153614241>>153617610I meant weak character as in his characterization was paper thin, there's not much to him other than being ambitious in wanting to conquer things because he sees himself as better than everyone else, including other versions of himself. Calls himself the Conqueror because conquerors put things in order and that's pretty much it, there's no pathos to him or a good reason, he's just your run-of-the-mill despot. Even the silver age origin of Kang being a bored asshole from a future where's nothing interesting to do so he goes back to the past to pull the equivalent of shooting cavemen with rifles by fighting the Earth's Mightiest Heroes from the 21st century would be something. The most interesting thing I found is how the movie aludes to Kang being a foil to Scott Lang. Kang is a brilliant genius from the future but he's so evil that even working with many versions of himself inevitable turns into a disaster that strays him further from any grand goal he could achieve, while Scott is an ordinary man yet is so heroic and with good in his heart that he can work with many versions of himself across space and time to accomplish something extraordinary.
>>153612295He singlehandedly ruined the ending of Loki season 1 with his shitty over the top acting.
>>153617680yes but his public reputation, and the sobriety carried into iron man maturing in his arc. I'm not sure why you think I was implying he got less mature and more alcoholic
>>153616768I'll probably still watch it at some point, then. I enjoyed Sentry in the comics, so I'm still curious to see how they'll adapt him for the MCU. That's really the point I'm at... watching MCU movies more out of curiosity than enjoyment. Sometimes it works out fine, but sometimes I wish to get my time back.
