I feel kirkman wrote her powers down to fit a main heroine love interest, and then never thought of the implications. She almost never uses them creatively, 90% of the time it's just a pink green lantern. I feel saying she just can construct things with her mind would be more fitting than full on atom control.
>>153612897because it would solve too many problems. defeats the purpose of conflict if atom eve can make capitalism completely obsolete by creating elements needs for energy facilities and improving humanitythis was made clear with how dinosaurus is treated. despite there being technology to build an artificial moon, liberal (who are capitalists) kirkman decided that using a simple as fuck train track utilitarianism problem would be acceptable to an audience that doesn't question things. it's like when krakoa writers showed dark beast as a head in a jar. the obvious answer is there, but the writers are forcing the audience to lower their expectations concerning critical thinking or ethical dilemmas
>>153612897No shes very broken as could turn air into Carbon monoxide to instant fuck up Viltrumtards
>>153612897Her powers would be put to better use if she used them to end world hunger and instead she just eats all of it anyways
>>153613468I mean that's my point though he obviously wrote himself in a hole. But why not just change the power or something, atom powers never even show up in anything until the show. She literally could just be a construct maker instead so at least she's not broken asf with a bs excuse of a mental limiter. Which is dumbass why wouldn't she get rid of the limiter when she regenerates?>>153613434True he really made dinosaurus so annoying, the sad reality is he plans to keep that plot line based on him appearing in s4. So that's fun to be on the look out for.
>>153612897I saw a cute girl and poked my head in.>>153613434Is dis therapod serious
>>153612897Is it ever adressed why she doesnt use her powers to give herself bigger tits or give mark a magnum dong?
>>153616472Mental block
>>153616472She does upgrade Mark's body later, not sure how that works though since his power is stored in smart atoms and not muscle tissue
>>153612897Because if they let her turn all viltrumites into sugar cubes , that would solve the conflict to fast. They want their cake and eat it. Ok she controls atoms but not in a way that can kill the bad guys, except when she's super angry
>>153612897She's a walking plot device. Her powers only exist to patch up plot holes
>>153620457>>153619024But then her powers are a walking plot hole, as said many times why only control atoms super vaguely. Just better to give her telekinesis or something
>>153612897I feel she is one of the few characters who would benefit by being made dramatically weaker. You can still have her be able to manipulate matter, but make it much harder for her. She has to either actively remember the type of molecules she's working on and not just intuitively know that type of stuff or that she needs to gather lots of energy or something like that and essentially is running on a battery that can run out. That way, if she does something stupid, you could always handwave it as, "Oh well, she didn't know the exact chemical structure for that type of weapon/action attack or she ran out of energy."
