The one thing I dislike about June is it implies that before transitioning John had no connection or positive memories of the house or with Dad Egbert. Acting like the house didn't feel like his or that there wasn't anything he should hold onto there.This feels insulting as a fan of Homestuck because reading it you see Dad Egbert loved John and did everything to make John happy including playing with him all the time in that house and encouraging his every interest.There was genuine love in that house with everything we are told and shown about John's life leading to that inclusion so I find it utterly bizarre how in order to make June canon you'd need to make it so John had no attachment or positive attachment to the place he grew up as a metaphor for transitioning.I have nothing against June I just view this way to get to her to be extremely hamfisted and disrespectful to John's character.
