I feel like this should be bigger news, no? https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/coming-soon/new-animated-movies-coming-to-netflix-in-2026-and-beyond/ >While exact plot details are still heavily under wraps, we do know the working title is currently “The Mitchells vs. the Mitchells.” Here is a brief tease of what we can expect from the storyline: >“While the first film saw the Mitchells, a fairly mild-mannered American family, take on the robot apocalypse, the sequel sees them encounter something even stranger and more dangerous … themselves.”
>>153626021i'm getting sequel fatique.
>>153626021Calling it right now,The third one will be The Machines VS The Machines.
>>153626152Same. It sucks that Hollywood is so allergic to original ideas these days.
Can’t wait for more cringe millennial humor, shame this one won’t include a sympathetic portrayal of a tech billionaire ceo.
>>153626021>The Mitchells vs. the Mitchells Sounds like a title and premise more befitting a third installment, but what do I know
>>153626021So is it family in-fighting or family in-fighting while fighting against doppelgangers of themselves
>>153627551some sort of evil clones I'm guessing
>>153627504That first Mitchells movie's very existence proves you wrong. Sony in general has been really good at encouraging more original works. I totally relate to wanting more original animated films, but you shouldn't write off ANY proposed sequel. Rianda made it pretty clear he envisioned these characters having potential for sequels. If anything, I'm glad they're moving forward with a sequel while the iron's still warm instead of waiting 20 years and trying to cash in on nostalgia.
>>153626021Fighting robots is super topical these days.
>>153626021The Mitchells vs. The Nega Mitchells
>>153626021Can't wait to see Linda again~
>>153627515They probably just wanted to get ahead of it on the off chance the second movie doesn't perform as well.
>>153626021All the movies they could have greenlit, all the sequels they could have pushed through, and they go for this forgettable dreck?
>>153630966Hey at least we also have more Spider-Verse and Kpop Demon Hunters to look forward to
