Why has no voice actor in the last 50+ years been able to achieve even 1% of the skill and talent of Mel Blanc?
>>153630144Mel Blanc is the original bastard entitled voice actor who acted as a negative influence on the lesser voice actors. Blanc was actually talented and he knew it so he demanded not only to be listed in the credits but more money as well. Good for him since he IS Looney Tunes incarnate essentially. But he set a precedent in that less talented cunts like Tara Strong or The Simpsons voice actors started to get entitled and parasitic. I fucking hate voice actors. Will not miss whenever they finally get replaced by ai because to hell with them all.

>>153630425I couldn't tell you what any of these sound like.
>>153630564Even Blanc deferred to her at times>>153631875You'd have to be about 65 or the child of someone that age, Daws more or less voiced their entire childhood

>>153630144One Mel Blanc story I always remember is how he was able to make Bugs Bunny impersonating Daffy Duck as well as vice versa and still make them sound different.
>>153630359T. Failed voice actor or didn’t get someone’s attention once or something, there’s literally no reason to be this bitter over something specific like voice actors on the whole aside from parasocial shit or jealousy. Probably got mad a voice actor didn’t agree with his opinion or some crybaby shit like that.
>>153633621You don’t know that. They could be a highly successful professional who got mad their voice actors negotiate for what their worth.
>>153631875you know what yogi bear sounds like.
Troy Baker is pretty good
Mel Blanc was a unique talent and deserved all the accolades he got. It's just a shame that his exclusive contract denied credit for other voice artists like Billy Bletcher, Sara Berner, Kent Rogers, Bea Benederet, Stan Freberg and Arthur Q. Bryan. As for contemporary voices, Grey DeLisle is EVERYWHERE and almost always does a good job.
Dee Bradley Baker.

>>153630359Don't have a cow, man.
>>153636220Patrick Warburton has a good voice, but he really seems to only have that one voiceSimilarly, Keith David: great voice, but not much variety

>>153630144>>153630359he was amazing at being able to have 2 very distinct voices conversing with each other in any Loony Tunes short for 40 years. But for some reason whenever anyone else hired him for any other job, it was his typical Spacely Sprocket voice and nothing else. Like 20 characters sounded exactly like Mr Spacely.
>>153630144Meanwhile frank Welker has been voicing over a hundred characters since the early 70s using only 3 voices.
>>153637951Doing different voices can be a boon for a voice actor, but the "acting" part is far more important. I almost think it's more impressive that actors like Warburton can use the exact same voice for all of his characters, yet they all feel very distinct in personality.
>>153635640Cummings is also genuinely good at being able to voice 2-3 characters talking to each other and sounding perfectly different for each one.
>>153641304>But for some reason whenever anyone else hired him for any other job, it was his typical Spacely Sprocket voiceThat almost definitely had more to do with direction than the decision on Blanc's part. If the voice director wanted something different, they would have asked for it.
>>153630577One minute you're Fred from Scooby Doo and then the next you're fucking Megatron
>>153640269>half those characters have been completely lost in cultural memoryIt probably didn't help that most of them were just ripping off other celebrities who were already starting the lose their stardom. I'm sure anyone who watched Top Cat was a big Phil Silvers fan.
