>Can't just have Frank be the victim of criminals, it has to be a criminal conspiracy involving his former commander.I hate when stuff slightly tweaks an origin, I know why they did it, they wanted a twist on it (can't do the same thing again according to producers) and also to water him down a bit. But right out the gate this ended up neutering Frank. Because once he got rid of his commander, who cares? What drive is there? If anything it would make him target corrupt soldiers or officials more than criminals. And I forget the two seasons of the Netflix show. What exactly happened. I know season 2 had some right wing family angle. I sometimes think current creators are just so scared of tropes and doing the same thing. The washed up Frank is eh, the depiction of PTSD here is also eh. I also find it kind of bizarre how he is in the new Spider-Man teaming up with Jean Grey at some point in the film?

The action was decent and very gory at times and it ends with Frank in a very good place to continue with the character. Hopefully the punisher stays like that going forward and marvel finally stop using the regretful frank story once and for all.

Saw it.It was OK.Tired of Frank going through little crises of self-discovery at the end of which he decides to start Franking criminals forever, only to go through another next time they want to do something with him.Also, this is like the third time he "finally killed everyone who was involved in his family's death" in this continuity.

I really enjoyed it, honestly. But, it was just an hour-ish of dumb action, and nothing important happened. The people I recommend this to will generally have no overall interest in Punisher, the MCU, or the extended universe. It's like watching a random Jason Statham movie.
