what's your favourite underrated run? For me>Goodwin's Ironman>Wolfman's Green Lantern>Maggin's Superman>Robbin's Batman>Wein's Thor>Mantlo's Hulk
Alan Moore's Captain Britain never really gets mentioned along with his other work. It's great.
>>153637759It's the only Captain Britain run anyone ever talks about though, it's not "underrated". Play in the spirit of the thread and choose something that isn't by a 'star writer'.
>>153637844No one really talks about Captain Britain. >Play in the spirit of the threadI am. He's not a 'star character'>choose something that isn't by a 'star writer'.You didn't specify.
>>153637759OP here, doesn't feel an underrated run.I think for Alan Moore is hard, his batman stories outside killing joke or his Green Lantern stories are sorta underrated but can't say are runs.
Wolfman usually has runs that people ignore.Green Lantern is one, but his Daredevil is ignore because Miller/O'neil and I his spiderman was decent.
>>153637387Thing is, I usually don't even enjoy the most highly acclaimed runs, so I never bother with these, assuming they're even less worthwhile.
Goodwin Iron Man and Mantlo Hulk are underrated? I thought those were popular.
Ann Nocenti's Daredevil. Yes I'm serious.
>>153639475People like this run.
>>153637387O'Neil came back to GL with Mike Grell after Adams had long left and the book ditched the social headhammering for traditional capeshit which was actually pretty good.
>>153639461Goodwin maybe but is more acclaimed by authors like Busiek than fans .Mantlo I doubt, most people just go for PAD , Conway or now Ewing/PKJ>>153639475Daredevil is weird Miller run fans usually like Nocenti, Oneil and maybe JMD and KesselMiller """"fans""" usually like Bendis or Kevin Smith fanfics runs
>>153641026>Miller run fans usually like Nocenti, Oneil and maybe JMD and Kessel>Miller """"fans""" usually like Bendis or Kevin Smith fanfics runsThat's what I notice too. The latter is basically the kind of person that would parrot "Daredevil has no bad runs" and they usually mean they only read Quesada-era Daredevil and maybe read Miller Daredevil (and nothing else before Marvel Knights Daredevil) because they were told it was good
>>153641026I stopped at DD 300. That's my endpoint. The issues between DD 292 and 300 by JG Chichester is actually really good especially the final arc. After that is when it starts to feel like DD's usual carousel of repeating stories.
