He was visiting the building and thought it would be fun to contribute so he just whipped the drawing out with a pencil he had on hand. He didn't draw it thinking he was bestowing some sort of permanent gift upon the building, however it's understandable that the CN artists there were extremely pumped about it and why they were upset when some dipshit intern drew over it. It's also understandable that the intern didn't know what they were doing when they did it. Still, it's worth reminding people that the internet got far more upset about this than the people who actually worked there.
