whats the creepiest thing in a comic/cartoon youve seen
maybe not the creepiest thing but there is an indpendent comic where there are sexual abuser disguised in costumes and drawing techniques, as superheroes.I think is the story Garth Ennis wanted to write with The Boys, but this story is most honest about its pain.

The song is great and the monster is silly but anything involving brains bothered me as a kidEspecially stuff going in my ear to pull it out
Twenty years ago on christmas I saw a movie that might've been claymation about the big bad wolf snapping and devouring the three little pigs and red riding hood alive. I can't fucking find it no more.
>>153648259"Brat Pack" by Rick Veitch. Great comic, and definently an inspiration for The Boys. You could argue Boys is just Brat Pack with the serial numbers filed off and much more watered down. Go read it, it's good.
>>153648067Not sure, if this counts or it's cheating, but there were these man-eater stories that were covered and illustrated by this YouTube channel called Bob Gylman. I think the one the creeped me out the most was the opening to a video about this leopard that became a man-eater in the British Raj. It really creeped me, especially the way it killed the man in the opening, how helpless he was to an animal that was smaller than him, and the way it killed him was what got me. I've never seen a piece of horror media portray a monster like that, most monsters have the decency to kill you in a quiet clean manner quickly, not try to drag you away as you desperate cling to a structure and then when it realize isn't strong enough overcome your death grip It bites you in the jaw and pulls you into the darkness. If that doesn't count, then there was this comic I saw on X. It was about, I believe, a teenage boy trying to be a peeping tom, and then he spots this completely bent and broken woman on top of a helpless guy that manages to immediately spot him the moment he looks at her and then runs across the street and before it reachss him. We never see what happened after it breaks into his room, but then the last panel is his neck broken and he's just approaching the viewer. It reminded me a bit of a Junji Ito, but in a more westernized style. It was still monochromatic.

>>153658543>>153658404The premise of Marvel Zombies has that thing you mention. There is no escape from it. So there no hope. You know what I remember now? Ruins. That thing Warren Ellis wrote decades ago. One of worst comics books I have ever read in the same sense you mention. Reality just tends to catastrophe. Everything that can go wrong goes wrong and there is no escape from it.The artwork and the story are, of course, flawlessly executed, but it’s that sense of dread that haunts the reader that makes me want to forget *Ruins* actually exists.
>>153653677Came here to post this. >>153660572I fucking adore Skeleton Jelly because it speaks to a very specific kind of fear, one that isn't visceral so much as encroaching dread. Like, it reminds me of the kind of fear you'd feel as a kid when you'd see something in the dark of your room at night, and for a split second you think it's actually something scary but then you realize what it actually is and the visceral fear fades, but it imprinted in your memory in just such a way that whenever you look at the thing you get that vague, gnawing dread, like an echo of real fear.
