>Sigurd Jarlson has become a thorn in Roxxon's side...and the King of Roxxon has finally noticed him. But Sigurd's noticed Dario Agger too. He wants answers — he wants justice — and he'll go as high as he has to to get them.

I can't stand this shitty art
>>
>>153652269
Kinda funny that Gargoyle was the lesser threat in the Immortal Thor run but now is the last line of defense.
>>
>>153652242
I really should catch up on this.
>>
>>153652269
Despite liking Grey Gargoyle I always found it weird his mask and cape weren't also blue like his gloves/boots.
>>
>>153652357
I've read enough chick lit to know how sexy this is going to end
>>
>>153652269
O look, it's Grey Gargolye. People were wondering when he would show up again
>>
>>153652290
So now his hammer has an extension function?
>>
>>153652891
it's a good little book
>>
>>153653155
He's just stretching the cord
>>
So next issue will be the battle against Agger, then the fight with Blake, then the end of Magni's arc to lead into legacy 800
Pretty excited, I've enjoyed this book a lot, weirdly underrated but I get why it's not getting loads of discussion
>>
>>153653528
Yeah, and after #800, I would guess it's 10 issues with one issue in each of the ten realms and then a big climax issue at #25, like how Immortal Hulk finished.
>>
>>153652346
That's pretty dark.
>>
>>153652488
Thanks
>>
>>153652386
Nah, Thunderstrike is Kevin Masterson(son of Eric, the previous one) iirc. Sigurd Jarlson is Thor's unique human identity after he lost the Donald Blake transformation in 1982.

>>153652244
>Sigurd Fafnircide
I didn't knew you could translate his epithet like that, mad props.
>>
>>153652346
Considering how many people Grey Gargoyle has killed, fuck 'im.

Technically that's a gloss?

It's good because we know it's a temporary thing
>>
>>153654819
Even better. Guess someone learned
>>
>>153652826
To be fair he's more like the midboss of this particular adventure

Since Sigurd is going directly from fighting the goons, to Gargoyle, to Agger
And then possibly even Donald right after that

With Hyde and Cobra and Radioactive Man he was able to go home and recover for a bit in between fights

Al Ewing really wants this dude to be the new Loki so his twink Loki dindu nothin can exist
>>
>>153652337
>back of the knee, maybe?
>>
>>153655214
what the hell are you talking about. He has clearly been setting up something regarding Thor's soul I and Donald's lack of. I wouldn't be surprised if the run ends with them merging again like he did with Moondragon, by having Thor offer forgiveness to Donald because of the bad hand he was dealt since... well, pretty much always. The start of the run even had Odin talk shit to Loki about his role in making Donald what he is today.
>>
>>153652357
more aura than absolute joker
>>
>>153655263
There is also the fact that in the Thor/Captain Marvel crossover, Ewing wrote he specified that Blake was worthy of wielding Mjolnir on his own when separate from Thor
>>
>>153655209
Yeah he kinda dumb. I feel like Creel is smarter
>>
>>153654320
From what I recall he used the Sigurd Jarlson name to go incognito, but I think he was fused with Eric at the time. Masterson = Jarlson.
(I had actually forgotten Eric's real name and last time I saw his kid was in a mini like, 20 years ago, I think he was Kid Thunderstrike or something?)
>>
>>153655902
Oh right Thor and Eric got breifly fused until Thor left and Eric got Thundermace. I think this was during DeFalco era? I need to get back at Thor, I put it off cuz I went to read X-Men(stopped at when Nimrod is forcibly fused with Master Mold)

I'm not even sure how I remember those details, it's been over 30 years since I read it lol
Really should check whether it's DeFalco or the famous Simonson run.

I personally still find 90s X-Men serviceable, but some stuff is kinda messy, like a lot of people joining Magneto's Acolytes. Would read it all over most modern runs, though. (Nimrod stories peaked at the fight against the X-Men and Hellfire Club, so I'm not sure how I feel about most stuff with him afterwards)
>>
>>153652250
>>153652255
Good thing all Sigurd had to do was sneak past a couple Assassins Creed NPCs.
>>
Readin'
>>
>>153656682
I'm only on the 80s but then again, Nimrod/Master Mold happens on Outback Era so hey that's almost right on the corner. Also Hellfire Club having a schism is funny.

But yeah, I am sure it's DeFalco era Thor as Simonson ends like around issue 382 and DeFalco takes over
>>
>>153654550
Yeah but he felt bad about it
>>
>>153656713
more like Thief or Deus Ex Guards
Ass Creed one never give four number key codes
I was kinda surpised the code number wasn't 0451
>>
>>153655265
Who are you kidding?
>>
>>153655383
which is weird since isn't Gargoyle meant to be a scientist?
Ewing even makes a comment on how dumb and unimaginative Creel is in Immortal Hulk
>>
>>153660231
nah he was a small-time chemist. The one that's supposed to be a genius yet behaves like two-bit thug all the time is Thunderball from the Wrecking Crew.
>>
>>153660330
I mean a lot of villains started off as scientists who decided to capitalize on their inventions through petty crimes

The Slyde suit
Shocker's vibrogauntlets
Lightmaster made a light bending power armor
8-Ball is an aeronautics engineer and his pool cue fucks with kinetic energy
>>
>>153660498
>Shocker's vibrogauntlets
The fun thing about Shocker is he's actual something of an outlier. He's always been a petty criminal, and the catalyst for him inventing his gauntlets was "I got caught because it too long to crack the safe, so I'm going to use my experience working the jail's machine shop to invent gauntlets that will just shake them open quicker."

It's not like he's the Lizard or Doctor Octopus where they were legit, genius scientists before things went crazy. Shocker was always a thug but then became enough of an engineer to get bumped up to Super Villain.
>>
>>153652269
i'm so on the fence about Ferry's artwork on this series and this rendition is of Grey Gargoyle definitely falls on the negative side.

The scratchy pencil work just looks sloppy/incomplete here
>>
>>153652244
bump
>>
>>153653528
Immortal had it's moments but was kind of a let down near the middle and end parts. Mortal has been a blast, the art isn't for everyone but I'm kinda down for seeing an artist work on a character, do mediocre work then come back and at least make something entertaining
>>
>>153657881
Huh I could swear the Bastion thing was like, mid-90s at least.
>>
>>153663118
You're right, Bastion is a Mid-90s character.
>>
>>153652263
I will never accept that they turned Donald Blake evil.
