>616I'm still mad
Multiverse of multiverses where they are 616 in one multiverse and the comics are 616 in another
>>153654072Sure but that defeats the purpose a bit, does it not?
>>15365404719999999999
>>153654047>I'm still mad>at Alan Moore for starting this 616 nonsense in the first place
>>153654047Feige divorced the MCU from the wider Marvel multiverse so that it could play by its own rules.>>153654072That only works if you ignore most things after Endgame (which you should anyway).
>>153654047Mysterio was lying.
>>153654047mad about what? he was just some guy from the MCU universehe was literally a techie who worked for Stark and got fired, how did you not understand that
>>153654047This was supposed to be the first hint that he was lying, and was actually a cool shout out to the fans. It was Deadpool 3 that unfortunately didnt get the memo and canonized that the MCU is also called 616, which doesn't make sense.
>>153657460>>153657562The 616 thing was confirmed in Multiverse of Madness. Mysterio was right by sheer coincidence.
Multiverses are such convoluted bullshit anyway, and Marvel has an even more convoluted multiverse system where the multiverses have multiple iterations. Like, the comics multiverse before Secret Wars is a different cosmos from the current one, but the main comic timeline is the same because reasons. You could just say the MCU is the Earth 616 from a previous or a future Multiverse, it's not like it matters.
>>153657903>It was Deadpool 3 that unfortunately didnt get the memo and canonized that the MCU is also called 616i thought dr strange 2 did that
>>153658296It might have been, id need to rewatch it. I don't know if that ruins Spider-man 2099's line about it or makes it more true.
>>153658113Not at all, Marvel's multiverse is extremely simple compared to DC's. The whole "multiple cosmos" doesn't matter at all, the multiverse is only the present cosmos, and Secret Wars was just an excuse to kill off the Ultimate Universe.>You could just say the MCU is the Earth 616 from a previous or a future MultiverseThat just proves you don't understand the concept of the iterations. Most shit that exists in the current multiverse didn't exist at all in previous cosmos.
>>153654047>>153654151>>153657903The MCU and the comics don't share multiverse.
>>153654047But why is 616 iin comics now?Franklin re-made the multiverse, shopuld the 616 be called "prime" or some shit now?
>>153654122>>153654072>>153654047>retards don't understand that there is a comics multiverse and a films and television multiverse
>>153659065They used to, the MCU was just on the very far fringes of the multiverse.
>>153655782As with most of his comic book career, he actually did it right. Marvel used him as a sales gimmick, same as DC.
