He created the problem out of pure boredom after believing he finally succeeded in murdering the town's hero. He then let the problem he created wreak havoc in the city while he gave up and voluntariy went to prison, and he ONLY did something about it when the girl that he was attracted to was in harm's way.He and Hal had basically the same exact motivation, so why is one the hero and the other the villain? Megamind even has the audacity of calling out Tighten on using his gifts for wrong when he has been doing the exact same thing the whole movie. What a sorry excuse for a story of redemption, let alone a hero.
>>153655870>a reward for your good deed is needed Yeah he's based but it might upset the faggots here.
>>153655870There’s more to love than getting laid, he caught feelings and then lived up to the moment. Happens to the best of us.
>>153655870Not really. The whole time, Megamind wasn't that evil all things considered. The whole point of the movie is about choosing your own role and not having to commit to a label placed on you by other people. He was selfish mainly because he didn't know what it felt like to be appreciated for who he was before he disguised himself as Bernard. Besides Minion, but that is explicitly on him for taking Minion for granted.
>>153655870It's just another mediocre Western animated film. I can't believe these people went to Harvard. Sometimes I think they're just people who failed at everything and ended up in these successful positions purely because of privilege. Look at how alumni from other colleges are often better writers and directors than those from Harvard and other fancy schools. UCLA, Texas Tech, and so on... How many Harvard people would have made something like The Godfather? Take a guess: none of them.
>>153656052>It's just another mediocre Western animated film. Nope, you homo
>>153656059To be honest, Western animated films are all terrible. For every *Coraline*, *Fantasia*, or *Henry Selick* film, everything else is trash. Only smaller European films are any good.
>>153656108Nope, subhuman, and don’t contradict yourself
>>153656156I'll add that most animated movies are garbage. Even the Japanese ones.
>>153656216Fuck off, miserable faggot
>>153655930what good deed? he made the whole mess to begin, he should've been arrested as soon as Tighten became Jonah Hill again>>153655978The point is he only gives a shit about Roxanne.>inb4 so? why would he care about some city NPCs?at least don't terrorise the common man who's done nothing wrong>>153656004he clearly enjoys being a villain, he even reacted with pure, unfiltered joy upong seeing metroman's "corpse". And again, like I said, he doesn't care about being a hero (same as Hal), he just wants the girl (same as Hal)
>>153656300Nice cope, faggot
>>153656322are you the same faggot from those other threads? who spams the same words that don't make sense in context?you need to be 18 to post on 4chan
>>153656371No, but you are a seething cuck
everything every great man has ever done has always been about getting pussy
>>153656393And the genocides?
>>153656300You’re right, they should make a movie about how the idea of someone being “good” or “bad”, “hero” or “villain” is flawed and childishly reductive and what really wins people over is flashy feel-good entertainment
haven't you noticed that getting laid and falling in love is why we sentient beings do anything
>>153656407some chicks dig that
>>153655870At the end of the day everything we do is for selfish reasons. That is why you have to learn ways to be selfless that helps you in your own way.

>>153656520But enough about you, OP
>>153655870>He and Hal had basically the same exact motivation, so why is one the hero and the other the villain?couldn't be the good guy, so he became the bad guy
>>153656052True but Harvard guys also wrote the Simpsons.
>>153656596>TrueNope
>>153655870Because Megamind actually took the time out to grow and learn about this girl. He gave good first impressions even if it wasn't really him.Tighten kidnapped her, almost kills her and leaves her on top of a skyscraper, all in the same night.
>>153655870>Why is one the hero and the other the villain?Because of motivation at the time. Hal was demolishing the city and revelling in being a destructive evil retard while MM tried to save the city in the encounter. Plus as a whole Hal went "too far" with the intentional attempt to maliciously kill. Megamind, even as a villain, wasnt even particularly bad and was mainly treating it as a game for attention. He wasnt expecting to actually kill Metro Man and when he took over he mostly left people alone to indulge in silly petty shit for fun without hurting anyone (at least directly). He celebrated the victory itself, but when reality set in he felt emptyAs a whole it came down to choice. Megamind originally went Villain because he was raised that way and thought he had no choice as his peers pushed him toward that. Then when he was presented the choice he went hero. Hal went villain on his own despited being granted gifts and guided toward the hero route.
>>153655870To be fair Hal was put on the Metro Man route and encouraged to be a hero by his fake dad. He instead used it to be a dickhead on his own immediately
>>153656737JM was a villainous joker. Think about those silly comic book villains whose actions are less dangerous than a kid who was bullied for their race, gender, or just for being “wrong. ” The redhead, on the other hand, was a real threat. This is highlighted in the fight scene where JM’s tricks are harmless, while the redhead is a destructive force. I gave more thought than the writers of this shit movie
