I still say American Dad is 10x funnier than Family Guy, but the best American Dad jokes are all context heavy (like this one) so its hard to quote them. Family Guy gags are all atomic standalone throwaway gags.

no one is going to disagree with you, thats not the noble stance that you think it is.

Then how come American Dad hasn't eclipsed it as the more popular MacFarlane toon yet?
>>
>>153660398
american dad is more plot focused rather than just funny cut away gags that tweens can easily digest watching youtube shorts or twitter feed or vines or whatever the fuck is popular.
i feel like you already knew that though.

unironically something similar happened to dad when he was a kid. they took care of cattle and stuff and one was getting old and it was time for it to go to slaughter and one was particularly fond of dad like would lick him like a dog would, and when they got all the meat back from the place the first thing they got in the packaging that dad opened was the tongue, dad side was very poor so they kept a lot of the meat that they could

FG is easier to get into, AD is admittedly on the weirder end (non-derogatory)

>Damn bitch, you live like this?

You ignored the point that makes up the majority of my post just to bitch and moan about nothing.

The point is that it's hard to quote American Dad gags because the reason they're funny is the context added by the characters and the story. Eg: Explaining the "Matthew! Math! You! Can! Do! Is! What! I! Teach!" gag without front-loading it?

You can describe a scene in casual converdation but it's harder on the net where short isolated messages are the default. Regardless, most people don't actually watch Family Guy or American Dad, just see clips on the net, so not being able to instantly chew a joke doesnt matter that much.

Because family guy had the funny talking dog and evil baby mascot and babby's first edgy humor. Your average cable television viewer is a drooling retard whose god is brand recognition and devil is quality entertainment that forces them to think even slightly.

What are you talking about? Disney is releasing that Mandalorian and Rogu movie this month.

It should be obvious to you that the Family Guy style of humor is more amenable to clips on the net.

>Rogu
I still don't understand that character..
>>
>>153658474
Even it's out of context jokes are pretty solid.
>>
>>153669033
Sure, but "YOU ARE MY QUEEEEEN, REBECCA!" isn't as funny without the context as it is with the context.

Rogu
