It's less the art itself is horrible and more that bringing in characters from Animated or Prime and drawing them in the style of their appearance in those shows, rather than giving them a G1-makeover to make them fit in with the style of the other characters was a really awful choice.

EU started out great and continued to be solid but these last few issues have felt like the lowest parts of the IDW run. The story seems stuck in a rut and the art is the drizzling shits - especially this issue with the clashing Transformer design styles. They managed to introduce Bulkhead a couple of issues back in an appropriate G1'ified version that still made him recognisable to his original Animated design without feeling out of place.

The only good thing about this Elita wank-off is I don't have to look at Optimus and his shitty downgraded body.
