Well I dunno about you anons but I just heard about the street naming ceremony. Ol' Steranko was there. Good to see that guy attend. What are your favorite Kirby creations, stories, and art pieces? What are your favorite anecdotes/IRL stories?

>>153662740I like the idea of them gazing at an actual comic. Less so, Kirby having someone say that explicitly, wasting script on that keen observation. Anyway, Superman aka "Mo" to these primitives is funny. Might read it since that post-apocalyptic cover with the flooded New York looks cool in his style. Hopefully that is a large part of his setting and it gets explored when I go through it. Might just be a cover which would be disappointing.
The later scene. Scott's dream is of his mother, unknown to him. Just really beautiful imagery. In general I like how he ignored corporate lines with Fourth World. The Old Gods of Asgard becoming the New Gods of New Genesis and Apokolips, who in turn fall and leave only Orion's son and the ghost of Darkseid.>>153662804Flooded NYC is like Kamandi's hometown, for lack of a better term. IIRC he does a lot of roaming around to see all the different locales. It's a neat story.
