its actually a very humorous thing anon,
you see, women don't tend to grow facial hair, and so seeing someone with a beard you usually assume that they are a man, but in this case because both male and female goats grow hair in a fashion which looks like a beard, it lets the seer here look like a guy instead of a gal.
I personally wrote that joke myself and am very proud of it.
