I never really "got" metalocalypse. I could find individual moments very funny, but everything felt like either a parody of something I didn't really know or the continuation of a world I wasn't familiar with.I also found the idea of a death metal band being that famous and wealthy hilariously unrealistic, like there's no way that genre is popular enough for that. Maybe that's part of the joke and it flew over my head ? I don't know, like I said I felt like I just wasn't "in" on it.

>>153667267Like a lot of things in the show, them being rich is really inconsistent, sometimes they have more money than God, other times their vacation budget was blown on setting up a single concert, and by that I mean Dr. Rockzo's, not one of their insane ones.It's just metal heads doing silly shit and then accidentally murdering half of their fans or staff every episode. I don't know shit about metal history so most of the references flew over my head, I just found the characters and situations amusing.
