This kind of argument usually always boils down to people with different definitions of what something being "for kids" is.To me, the fact that they have obvious references to sex and swearing should already be enough to prove it's not for kids.But clearly, the bright colors, lack of more overt "adult" content like sex and gore, and relatively simple characters make it automatically for kids, even if that was not the original intention.
Best way I could describe it is that it's a show for adults who are kids at heart, aka manchildren.So it's obviously going to appeal to actual kids too.
