This show is so ugly it makes me wonder if the storyboarders even know how to draw the characters
Parker Simmons was the only artist trying to make them look appealing

What I cant grasp is how anyone finds any of the girls attractive. Every single one is the most significantly low effort tumblr-bait design imaginable. Even for 2018 this stuff felt hackneyed and tired. The show which promised to be a cross between dragonball and street fighter ends up populated with the protagonists of random 2010's ""young adult"" comics. Revolting.

Ok ko was the last show i watched as it was airing in CN before i grew out of television and i really liked it but at times it really felt like the artstyle of the show clashed hard with the story they were trying to tell (or maybe the animators just couldnt do it well, idk)

The show really does lack structure in the first part of season 2 so if you watch any of those episodes they were just bizarrely bad. Again the humor is very juvenile and sort of the random hold up spork kind of thing but it's kind of good in a weird way.

I think they used charcoal styled strokes on the artwork which really creates sort of a childlike look to it which I think holds it back

This may have something to do with the show having been cancelled by then and the crew having less episodes to work with for the final season.
