Why is the fandom for this comic so fucking dead? Is everyone really so butthurt about the Annies merging that discussion of any kind is off the table now? Even attempts at storytimes can't get any traction because the threads are dead silent and the OP gives up. What the fuck happened?

>>153684002It was never so big in the first place; as nice as the art was and now is, it's not the right flavor to draw in the tumblr crazies when Homestuck helped push a lot of webcomic interest in general. If you mean on here, interest in general died down over time, partly because this is hardly the place to nurture "fandom". The good artists got chased off, shitposting would be dedicated enough across threads to bog down discussion, the Nothing Happens pages would have a "nothing happens" post and the thread would either die quickly or the conversation starved would just off topic random bullshit to chat about anything. It's just an old comic, lots of people aren't interested in sticking with it, and plenty who were interested in discussing it here (where I first found it desu) were given cause to stop checking in.
