Should Disney movies be more historically accurate?
>>

no,they should be soulful and entertaining again
>>
It kind of depends
You could probably do a historically accurate Aladdin (in terms of architecture, apparel, etc) and still keep what made the movie so fun to begin with

Aladdin is set in China.

Honestly if I were in charge of Disney I would stay as far away as possible from an actual concrete historical setting if I was making a movie for kids. Just steal the ideas/aesthetics from the era and make your own morally neutral fanstays world . Pocahontas would be a better movie freed of the historical implications and potryal land mines, look at Avatar. Mulan is as about as historical and king Arthur and Robin hood, which is they are vague legends set in the distant past, this is the correct approach.

Mulan was already a folk tale to begin with.

>Pocahontas
>super racist movie
>le problematic
>Mulan
>super racist movie
>perfectly okay
Explain this to me.
>>
Are you implying there's something wrong with Mulan of all things?
