Everytime I check in Clea Strange, I get the distinct feeling that Marvel's been trying to break up her and Steven for years. Or at the very least justify her sleeping around. If I had to guess it's a writer with a crush. Can't blame him though, must be frustrating to be assigned to the hottest bitch ever and you have to accept that she's been off the market since the Silver Age.
Didn't she fuck George Washington early on?
>>153714509Most comics writers feel driven to break up established couples for the sake of THE DRAMA, or only they like one of the two characters and want to pair that one up with someone they like better, to make their ship canon, to make their permanent mark on the book. Then there are the writers who have some random heroine guest starring in the book they're writing and think /theirguy/ needs to bang her to prove to the readers what a chad he is, and it doesn't even matter to that writer whether this heroine is in a relationship or not, or if she'd be down for one night stands with guys she just met.And then you get stuff like Sue in FF, where they're not allowed to break her up with Reed or make her cheat on him, so they just love to tease it all the time instead.Sometimes these people are just evil and want to make readers angry, and you're not allowed to read about happily married couples who stay faithful to each other.

>>153714737Why are we pretending Clea was in any way a good supporting character in Dr. Strange when her fling with Franklin automatically became the most interesting thing with some level of agency she ever did during that period?
>>153714509what a random ass group of characters to be hanging out together.

Strange is so lucky....
>>153714957Why do people like you always presume the editors were ignoramuses that the writers were sneaking things like this past. In Marvel especially, the writers and the editors were usually the same circle of people from the 70s through to the 90s. They only had to sneak things past the CCA and hope they didn't get any complaints from easily offended parents who looked at what their kids were reading.>>153715139You're like those people who insist Aquaman was a better comic when Mera got turned into a psychopath. You literally can't understand the appeal for readers of a happy couple, that just doesn't interest you at all when compared with constant retarded drama where everyone's also a total whore.
