Does Oliver grow more steadily in the comics and it's just animated shitty or does he really just sprout several feet in a single day after months of staying the same size? I kind of hate how the villains have to act around the plot in this show. Sequids at least made sense, hanging in the shadows to gather power, but why didn't Liu show up and kick Machine Head, Isotope, and Titan's asses immediately when he got revived right away? Why don't the Viltrumites storm Earth after knowing humans are compatible to breed with? Why didn't Conquest immediately attack Mark after reviving and breaking out of the GDA instead of going home and begging daddy Thragg to kill him? Why didn't the Viltrumites immediately execute Nolan and why do they seem so hellbent on getting Mark to follow their religion instead of just forcefully taking Earth? The villains seem to have 0 agency and they all wait patiently for their turn to be part of the plot. I mean Earth would be literally fucked in the ass if more than 1 serious thing happened at once, but it just makes no sense for some of these things. You'd think the race that is nearly extinct would be eager to turn Earth into a farm right away. They would have 0 qualms towards raping humans and taking the children away to a Viltrumite training facility.
