>Alright taking /co/'s advice .....What the fuck? No wonder this industry is dying who pays for this shit???
Use moho or opentoonz or pigma microns on printer paper and a scanner
Ever since they got rid of perpetual license people been trying to get off
In most cases you can pirate software like this and they won't give a shit, they only come after companies large enough to be worth the trouble.
>>153720253pirate it like I do you idiot
>>153720253Pay?https://filecr.com/windows/toonboom-harmony/
Flash still works
>>153720253Any reason to use this over Clip Studio?
>>153720719>Clip StudioNTA, but its vector lineart feels wrong to me as someone who comes from SAI. I've been watching Maxwell's Unalivestream, and it seems like a lot more work than what I usually do. It looks like CSP has this brush where you can smooth out vectored strokes so there isn't too many anchor points, but I've personally found SAI to have the right amount of anchor points per stroke without needing to do anything extra. (Though, I've had to come up with some hacky tapering methods that involve crossing some transparent strokes with one another, fine-tuning them so points look just right.)
>>153720719alot of post production tools but if u just want the animation CSP is enough
>>153720874You can edit per point pressure and taper lines that way in SAI
>>153720968Make your assets in csp and do post in a regular video editor like aftereffects.
>>153721524Yeah, I'm aware SAI has a hotkey where you can switch the point from pointed to rounded (Ctrl + Alt + Left Click), but I still feel pointed vectors in SAI look too round IMO.
>>153720253how the FUCK is harmony LESS expensive than shitty ass storyboard pro?? What the FUCK?? I HATE this company almost as much a adobe omfg.
>>153720253>/co/ advices you to get a Harmony subscriptionanon those are shills
>>153721789surprised this shit company doesn't get as much flack as adobe
>>153722346They address a much smaller market and they only make their own home grown dogshit. Adobe has a long history of buying ACTUALLY GOOD products and then turning them into dogshit (Macromedia Flash). They're both awful and are a blight on the wider art industry but Adobe really is that much worse.
>>153720452Teacher flamed me for doing so since official software can detect files made in pirated versions
>>153720719Better brush tool that draws vector lines like you were painting in Photoshop. Shit is overpriced though and they even took out some old features from Animate Pro from the cheapest Essentials pack and put them in the more expensive versions. You can buy one one-time version of Essentials for couple of hundred bucks but then thats only that one version and you never get to patch it to newer ones without subscribing to some monthly fee.Disney knows full well animators are broke as fuck, made their own industry standard animation program and then decided to go full jew anyway. Can't recommend Toon Boom anymore because of the stupid price. Look for alternatives, learn Blender and Grease Pencil plugin, its clunky as fuck but at least its free and you learn 3D in the process.
>>153724092You gotta launder your output file.Just load you finally outlut into a free video editor and export it again. 0 Metadata will he conserved.
>>153720253It's a very predatory company, yes.
>>153720253Blender is free
>>153728358too hard to learn tho
>>153726817ok thankyou
>>153729844Well that means you're gonna fail at learning harmony too
>>153720253Yeahhhh, I can't afford that.
>>153720253Just pirate it. Those prices are for corporations, because this is "industry standard" software or whatever. And everyone knows that corporations are paying x10-x100 of a normal price.
>>153730648ahman :(
>>153720253Just use blender
>>153720253Don't forget your monthly adobe subscription and if you're going to be a real industryfag, you better buy the latest iProduct so you can be seen scribbling your storyboards at a trendy San Francisco coffee shop.
>>153734657Adobe products are some of the easiest to pirate, though.
>>153720719No.
>>153734680Didn't most of the popular patches die?
>>153735724Nah, ruskies actively crack each creative cloud release.
Oy vey, goy, don't pirate our licensed software. We bought those politicians fair and square.
>>153729844Watching worthikids' making of vids they're very funny because a recurring thing is not wanting to learn some of the more complex functions and setting up workarounds, so the lesson is if it's too hard to learn just don't use the complex stuff
>>153720253It’s $10 for students, the people you see using it use it for work or are in art school.
>>153720403YOOOOOOOO
>>153734633It's really not that simple
>>153720253It's owned by canucktoon content farm Nelvana. How did this become the industry standard?
>>153720253Which industry?
>>153737399>It’s $10 for students Is it really?
