It's not a redemption if she's actully a victim. Orginal comics Terra is a genuine sack of shit, and is as much an evil abuser as reddit thinks Deathstroke is. The only crime 03 Terra did was falling in love with BB. Moving on after hurting someone's feelings is the only right thing to do. And it's still not a redemption, the final episode is all in service to a life lesson for young people. The easiest, almost fladerized, example is the TT and Outsiders crossover. Geoforce wants to reconnect with Terra but she has a mini freakout in thought-bubble about her being figured out. She had plenty of chances to call off everything and tell the truth to capable people that would understand and protect her. But she never even considers it. But the most recent story with Terra has her being redeemed "for good" in a K.O. tie-in. With DC's "everything is canon" approach, which is actully like, she shouldn't be trusted with even a butter knife imho. People in situations where you can definitively call them victims and who you hate how much they're suffering. Yet if these people don't want to be helped, then you need to emotionally brace yourself. As well as the idea that part of growing up is learning there isn't always gonna be closure or a happy ending.That's a unique lesson for a superhero story. The way everyone is like "save the poor girl" is just giving the audience what they want at the expense of the theme and moral.

Fighting over rights of authors and characters leads to nothing new getting made and just recycling and remixing old stuff endlessly. If they could consistently make new stuff then they wouldn't have this issue of having/wanting to revive characters whose story arcs were completed decades ago. I'll be the first to say Clark should erase Prime from reality if he fucks up again, but so far he isn't behaving like Terra would.
