Like i don't think this studio will last for a couple of years
>>
>>153721196
Why, even if their other series aren’t doing tadc numbers, they’re doing better than modt other indie series
>>
Every single show/pilot they made post TADC/Murder Drones is a success that other indie animators could only dream of, they are not going nowhere.
>>
>>153721196
They proved it's possible to profit on the youtube.
>insert some statistic about businesses closing down after how many years
Odds are they close down someday someone related to Glitch will attempt a startup.
>>
>>153721196
They're making mad bank off of merchandise to the point where they can support an international theatrical release of their currently most-popular show. I don't think they're going bankrupt.
>>
>>153721196
How are you stupid enough to think they’re going bankrupt?
>>
>>153721196
Hard to say. Depends on how things go post-TADC.
>>153721376
Don't they also get funding from the aussie gubmint?
>>
>>153721520
Because i don't like them and i want them to go under
>>
>>153722352
>Don't they also get funding from the aussie gubmint?
Why do people keep saying this like it's still happening?
>>
>>153721196
i don't think a studio that prepares a line of blindbox figures to launch alongside a show's pilot are going to run out of money any time soon (funding a cartoon show with blindboxes is really skeevy in my opinion but if i were to suggest that anywhere online i'd get screamed at by cultists)

I wouldn't have asked if I knew the answer.

If glitch is so popular then why aren't there any standalone handheld lcd games based off their shows?
>>
>>153722561
Why didn't you ever learn to Doug harder
>>
>>153721196
A bunch of their tech/workflow presentations put emphasis on being as budget-conscious with clearly defined processes so it's unlikely they're going anywhere. They've clearly found an approach that works and managed to highly refine it over their four shows, so it'd take a catastrophic chain of failure for them to go under
>>
What’s going to end Glitch is either someone with vision retiring/dying/leaving or an internal dispute causing the company to become untenable to work at.

Followed by Glitch being mentioned on CVS as a point of skill.

that shit is gonna flop bro, if its not TADC, no one cares. Fucking I bet they'll give in and make some TADC sloppa or season 2
>>
>>153721196
No hard hitters after tadc, spread themselves thin and spent money on too many shows, an active lawsuit, a pending lawsuit that probably starts this month and the ceo outed as a racist while relying on zoomers and alphas for plushie sales so faster then we think unless they bring back tadc.
>>
>>153728794
>ceo outed as a racist while relying on zoomers and alphas for plushie sales
This may be the thread that unravels them. Their fans are unstable, whoever runs Glitch’s account gets in too much Twitter drama, and their VAs and animators aren’t much better.
My bet is half baked grooming allegations.

> No hard hitters after tadc
They don’t need “hard hitters”. The runaway success of TADC was extra. Murder Drones was already self sufficient. They can just make shows that have Murder Drones success and be fine PLUS they have a massive slush fund from TADC ago cover potential hiccups.

Palworld got super Sued by nintendo for using a similar idea to pokemon,
This fat gook used trademarked mario64 and splatoon models shamelesly and nintendo didnt do shit against him,
He is super rich or he is the nephew of some nintendo ceo

>>153721196
Its current methods are unstable. It will either go bankrupt or go full corpo. Either way, enjoy it for what it is now while you still can.

Ah yes, because there's so many animation studios these days to choose from that artists will move to...

Oh wait no there isn't because no one watches TV anymore.

>>
>>153721196
There probably will be some huge sex scandal behind the scenes that glitch will try to slept under the rug but eventually gets out.
>>
>>153721248
I find it funny that this corporation can be large enough to export menial animation labour to other countries and still get called "indie". It's the same form of development as the The Boys Prime YouTube videos where the comments and the video name are references to the fandom itself. Fans desperately want the companies to validate their fandom worship and companies have recently been finding every single way to oblige.

Glitch does intentionally craft this image for fans to consume:

> Founded in 2017 by brothers Kevin and Luke Lerdwichagul in their Sydney, Australia bedroom, Glitch Productions was started with a singular goal: change the way the west creates teen and young adult animation.

> The company has grown massively since that beginning, now with four shows under its belt and hundreds of millions of global fans. Despite that, Glitch remains fully self-funded and independent and remains dedicated to proving that indie animation is at the forefront of this industry.

https://www.glitchprod.com/about

Essentially they're not owned by a media monopoly, but they're still a company and are no longer "independent" from corporate interests (though this would have been true even if they were still posting from their basement). But the fantasy of them being a wholesome underdog studio that needs your tidbits to survive is probably a good motivation for spending money on their "merch" store:

https://glitchproductions.store/

Anyway this was always an immanent possibility within Web 2.0 platforms like YouTube (and TikTok, though TikTok is inferior in this particular case) and more will pop up as fandom consumes increasingly large areas of society and these channels have more chances to build up capital fast. A less ambitious example of the same thing is this YouTube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/@NaturalHabitatShorts

You can probably imagine them coming up with a pilot for a slice-of-life show about the rabbit and owl in two years.

If the TADC movie bombs or even just doesn't make its budget back, they're cooked. They're making the same mistake Filmation and Goodtimes made by trying to get into movie theatres when they're not ready
>>
>>153733003
> All they make is racist, sexist, and transphobic crap.
I see nothing wrong with that.
If anything, its a huge plus.

God you people are just like twittertards.
>>
>>153734183
>Why doesn't anyone watch TV anymore?
- Because TV networks have started treating shows as an annoying intermediary hoop they had to joylessly jump through before they could get to your money.
- Because TV exec salaries are through the roof so even if shows do well, if they need to do so overwhelmingly well that they can pay for the exec's several hundred MILLION dollar yearly salary PLUS their 80 million dollar bonus PLUS create profits on top of that that break every single profit record ever made before.
- Because TV networks will cancel a show as soon as it doesn't become a runaway hit which punishes any shows that take awhile to actually set up a story.
- Because TV shows are increasingly made via committee. No single person can have a vision and try to tell a story from that cohesive singular perspective. Boardrooms come up with a checklist of things that are popular or test well with audiences and expect any show to conform to a hodge podge of random requirements.
- Because people are too addicted to social media to be able to watch something without also scrolling their instagram or tiktok feed.
- Because a shockingly large amount of the public will "get the gist" of a show by either watching reaction vids, or video essayists, or come to places full of complete retards like /co/ and crowd source an opinion.

Please explain why you think so. What they've explained regarding their methods in various conferences is about tightly controlling budget, which is eminently stable

My God this place is so bitter about successful people. I swear to God half you guys are just these angry little man children who are bitter about anyone who successful why don't you go out and make your own damn show with hookers and drugs. Instead of complaining about anyone who's actually made it. Yes the transgender weird looking thing beat you guys to the punch and is now more successful and will be well remembered after all of us are dust. While you'll sit around be miserable masturbating and playing video games that you hate mind you you hate this stuff but you obsessively consume it explain yourself you degenerates. Or you have to go put your pudding on your head and run naked through the local school

All I have to do to get (You)s from these legions of seething /co/pers is post Gooseworx and they'll take it from there. They will never get over, and never forgive, the fact that not only did the quirky trans cartoonist mog the shit out of them but she's THE most popular one.

You’re looking at a developing company that’s still like below a AA company at its best.
>that needs your tidbits to survive is probably a good motivation for spending money on their "merch" store:
They legitimately do. That is literally the only way animation even works when it costs so much more money and time than other fields. If Hazbin merch didn’t sell, no hotel
>>
>>153737590
I find it depressing how they’re not inspired at all to do better.
