One page thread or OPT for shortHere you try to make someone read a comic with one page
>>153724571>>153723918Useful tip:If the name isn’t in the file name you need to mention the names of the comic on your post or people won’t check it out
>>153723677Idk if you came up with this but it’s a cool idea for a thread.Reposting an image from tintin that I saw in another thread
>>153724796I was about to ask what that was>>153724571This is the son of el topo
>>153724856We used to have constant one page threads is a /co/ tradition I hadn't seen in a while and a great way to find comics
>>153724904The entire site is less active than it used to be.Anyways I’d add that It’s helpful to reply to the posts with comics that you plan check out due to the page
>>153723677
>>153724992
Steranko is the coolest
>>153724866>I was about to ask what that wasRocketo
I liked that, as opposed to the other mouth pieces against classic superheroes, Magog wasn't some comically evil lunatic and genuinely was remorseful.
Williamson's been alright
Blame assistant editors month
remember
>>153726346Anyone still reading Atomic Robo? I'm not super keen on the last few volumes.
>>153726401I barely remembered he exists
>>153725401>>153725692>>153725758>>153725805>>153725829I know these have very well known characters but it's helpful if you mention the run or issue number.
>>153726969All of these should be quite easily found with the information and tools available. Make an effort.
>>153726966>>153726887>>153725919You should really mention the names these comics are fromHere are two that didn't have the names mentioned but i recognized.>>153725888This might be from Johnny the Homicidal Maniac>>153726510This is from Dr McNinja
>>153726969The site has an image search option
>>153727002Google reverse image search is getting SIGNIFICANTLY worse nowadays. And the goal is to get people to check out the comics you are posting. If you don't spoon feed them, they won't read it.
>>153727004>>153727024we're not here to spoonfeed you. And I don't care how shit google is, if you can't even find that Spider-man you haven't even tried.
>>153726510Dr Mc ninja>>153726781Hark a vagrant>>153726887Captain Harlock>>153726966Spiderman reign
>>153723677The Mercenary is a good comic.
Comic is '68
>>153724728pretty fucking funny art ngl
>>153725741loss
>>153728633No that was this. It was actually a very heavy moment.
>>153728848That page is from issue #14, of their 1999 run. Those guys the authority is fighting are basically a parody of the avengers.UN-fun fact: a few pages after this scene The flying sun guy gets raped by the captain america parodyyeah, The authority books are some wild stuff. a lot of random edgyness.A bunch of the female teammates also get raped. Two gets brainwashed and raped in a different arc. On a different occasion the engineer, gets molested in her youth by a timetraveling villain they are fighting
>>153728848>>153729016oh yeah, there's also this memed on scene with the hulk parody in that issue. It's not as cool as the one you posted though.
>>153729034>>153729016>>153728848I hate the authority
>>153728848>>153729034From the same authority run, but in issue #16>>153729036this run at least strikes me as a pizza cutter. all edge, no point.it's still kinda funny and entertaining.
>>153729016Oh yeah, Midnighter (who is one of the heros) also rapes the captain america parody to death with a jackhammerand its implied apollo shoves the ball & chain of the thor parody up the faux god of thunder's ass
Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #54
>>153729016Why do they fall back to rape whenever it comes to 'serious' depictions of superheroes? Like whenever some comic author wants to make his own superhero team and wants to make sure you know they aren't your grandma's superheroes they have to go into detail as how in their off time they have spandex clad orgies and bumfuck each other and how everyone at some point or another has gotten, is currently being, or will be raped in this universe or a parallel one.
>>153729288>Why do they fall back to rape whenever it comes to 'serious' depictions of superheroes? Like whenever some comic author wants to make his own superhero team and wants to make sure you know they aren't your grandma's superheroes they have to go into detail as how in their off time they have spandex clad orgies and bumfuck each other and how everyone at some point or another has gotten, is currently being, or will be raped in this universe or a parallel one.I'd say The thing about the many rape scenes in the authority is that it's cheap edgyness. There's never any further consequence for this shit as far as I'm aware or any dwelling upon the significance of characters getting raped. There's a reason I call it all edge and no point.Even something like the comic version of the boys, which was notorious for it's edgyness put more thought into this. It was edgy as hell (and probably not always that well executed) but there was a point and the stuff had after effects. When characters got raped, it affected the plot, it wasn't just cheap edge you could cut out and leave the story the same.
>>153729288It's just easy and cheap and a quick way to pretend to be an adult. The tragic irony is that most of these MATURE comics are only mature in a way that an immature person would think is so.
>>153729016Let's not forget that one of the female member's corpse is dressed up as a nurse and fucked by a villainIt's peak Millar.
>>153729406huh, i'm not sure if i read that issue. or maybe i forgot it.
>>153729460They actually changed it in the original issue but the recent omnibus has the uncensored version restored. Along with many other examples. The original art was available online for ages tho. Funnily enough, Millar actually quit the book and DC as a whole over the changes.
>>153726033cool mixed media
I just read this today and genuinely find this crazy bitch fucked up... You're supposed to feel sympathy for her?
>>153723677This looks cool. Why'd they give the Terminators horns?
>>153724796The top one is from a series called Rocketo by Frank Espinosa
>>153730586Probably to scare humans, later he hides them in a cop hat
>>153729574i know they did strange stuff like censoring the engineer giving the hulk parody the middle finger as he died
>>153731763Yeah, even the panel >>153728848 where Apollo blows Not-Giant Man's brains was somewhat blurred. (This one is from the restored version obviously). They just couldn't put a Mature Readers Only tag on the covers for some reason and decided to do stupid edits to the already completed art.
>>153729406>>153729574which villain was this?
>>153728848>>153731814Yeah it looks like the originally published version is a bit different.Though I do have to say that the red tinged panel for the death of the characters is kinda cool looking.
>>153728848>>153731895Hmm, it also looks in the original published version they removed the shield of the captain america parody. and changed the color of some of the blood.>>153731858Seems like this was in the later arc where the authority gets replaced temporarily:https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=4140
>>153724728Polacks got off too easy.
>>153731858The one based on David Beckham called The Colonel. (Pictured here in the Union Jack jacket).
>>153732030I blame myself for not doing enoughBack then they just banned me and I moved on to do other things and keep up with my life, looking back I should have gone full internet commando and ban evadeNow they say everyone was ok with them being retarded republichuds and we weren't they just blocked us
>>153723677>One page thread or OPT for shortSo that's what it does.
>>153732157I meant Poland.
>>153732157uhhh, what did you do to/on the /pol/ board?
>>153729357Yeah, only immature people enjoy sex. Whining about how immature everyone else is, is how you show you everyone how mature you are.
>>153733043this is from the captain britain comics. an arc called "sound and the fury" or something like that.the giant creature is the fury, which is some kinda cyborg that wants to kill all superhumans.
>>153732780That you think that's the point shows what a child you are.
>>153733422Very adult of you.
The boys was a weird comic. not the worst panel by far
>>153733857>The boys was a weird comic. not the worst panel by farfuck forgot to post it
>>153732780its not about sex. its about rape as cheap drama
>>153733043It's a shame that Moore didn't write more Marvel comics
>>153728848ahh the good times, really old comicbook from 1999-2001, would be a shame in netflix makes an animated series, this board will be spammmed with that tv series.
>>153729016Mate they are comicbooks they aren't real.
>>153723981Other comics have done this far better
>>153735217It was Marvel's fault. They fired his editor. Also, he did write a few pages of an X-Men special after this.
>>153735217You mean "the original writer"?
>>153736158He was going to come back to Marvel in the 2000s, probably after being forced to work for DC again. Brevoort wanted him to write a Fantastic Four run or limited series, Moore wasn't interested and wanted to write Ant-Man instead, but Brevoort said it wouldn't sell, so nothing ended up happening
>>153726346doctor dinosaur is underrated.
>>153726401I was never really that interested in it.
>>153736362This is the version of ultra man that snorts kryptonite
>>153723918Was this ever completed?
>>153739994whats this?
>>153738885Evil Superman has gotten tired, but due to playing it comically straight I love how unhinged Ultraman can be.
>>153740119>>153739994Secret Crisis on Ultimate Earth
>>153740480Apologies for the disservice, that's 2024's Crime Syndicate Vol 1 by Andy Schmidt, #5 I think.
>>153735858Spider-Man: Life Story is great.
>>153742241It does nothing for me.
>>153739994NOSFERETTA
>>153740480huh those panels follow their motion
When Claremont stopped filling pages with words and allowed the artist to breathe, he could be a great storyteller.
>>153736282>Moore wasn't interested and wanted to write Ant-ManDude that would have been so kino. Brevoort is an idiot. Yeah ant-man isn't very popular but saying that Moore was writing a new Marvel comic was more than enough
