Remake whenIt was a really good series way ahead to its time
>>153724423Why would you want a remake then
>>153724423No it was a product of its time and that's what made it great, stop this "ahead of its time" shit. A remake would fucking suck compared to the original, the talent isn't there and the culture isn't there.
>>153724423>Remake whenHopefully never. We don't need Batman Beyond to be tainted anymore. I would've accepted an Arkham-style game until that Suicide Squad game came out. Now I don't trust anyone to do it any justice.
>>153724423>>153724441>>153724466You’re all stupid it was Beyond it’s time!
>>153724483heheh
>>153724423I love this design, very cool
>>153724423It was alright
>>153724423The only thing Batman Beyond needs is a good video game.
Besides vague reference wasn't the last thing they actually tried to do with Terry Future's End? Which was terrible.Terry wasn't really the decent part of Beyond anyway. So what do you want exactly? Just some future Gotham setting? For what?
>>153729851Nah Terry is actually cool he has a solid home life, alter ego as a school student feels natural not like some "how do you do fellow kids" and he is a stand up guy while also being fun to watch. hes ethical while being cool, he has an active girlfriend, it all plays naturally and you dont appreciate it until you notice how nothing else like that exists today. People love manga and anime stuff for example but the protag is always a little bitch or a kid, no stable gf, the main thing they do to spiderman is take away his gf, terry is unique even today. I like that about this show the most hes not generic at all. Think about like the black batman they tried to push, its very difficult to replace bruce wayne and they did it pretty good.
>>153729864This reads like it was written by a 12 year old my man. Sober up before posting.
>>153729883nah it reads cool fuck you
>>153724423Part of the appeal of this series to me is its aggressively 90s cyberpunk tone. Nowadays it'd all be 2077 style bullshit.
Who the hell is TERRY?
>>153730070What's the difference between those two?
>>153730070Cyberpunk does share a lot of that 90s DNA to be fair, at least in its original tabletop form>>153731115NTA but Dark Art Deco with more greebles, not a lot of bright lights or holograms everywhere, though those are still around alongside a surprising amount of greeneryI wouldn't phrase it as 'aggressively 90s cyberpunk', at least not more than anything else from that era, but Neo Gotham has its own particular look and feel that you can naturally trace back to BTAS Gotham and STAS Metropolis that you wouldn't want to lose in a remake, especially when it can help it stand out among other cyberpunk mediaIf I had to simplify it Beyond is closer to the Cyberpunk 2020, Blade Runner's Los Angeles side of things instead of the Cyberpunk 2077, real life Hong Kong side, with a healthy dose of Bruce Timm stylisationPersonally I think there are some recent aesthetics that would still be a good fit for a new Beyond project (see the Ruiner videogame) but I think a lot of people have seen Beyond fanart that gives them Spiderverse fatigue
>>153724423>Remake whenNever. Remakes are for FOMO faggots with no confidence in enjoying old things that had their time in the sun.>>153729864>Nah Terry is actually cool he has a solid home lifeThe show's foundation is his "dad" getting murdered you dumbshit.
>>153731739Namely this piece of fanartAs long as you preserve that original identity, make it so you can see how Gotham became Neo Gotham (which in turn highlights the change from Bruce to Terry), you could play with it a fair bit
Max was already forced in that she was mandated character, and they’d make her even more forced now.
>>153724423>ahead to its timeEverything about the show screams late 90s early 2000s X treme
