What classic Simpsons episode would change the most if you replace the characters with their modern Flanderized versions? My personal vote is any Lisa episode before Lisa the Vegetarian.
The Cartridge Family, because without John Schwartzwelder to balance out the libtardation in the writers room, plus the characters being retarded, it would be an aggravatingly anti-gun episode that even anti-gun people would hate
>>153728950cool purple mountains
>>153728950wait you think Lisa the Vegetarian is Flanderized but you don't think Deep Space Homer is Flanderized? what are your criteria here you fucking loon
>>153730380Nobody mentioned Deep Space Homer retard.
Shithead answer: there are two clipshow episodes of The Simpsons within classic Simpsons. So those. Because they aren't actually episodes. So they could be replaced by actual episodes.
>>153730535Deep Space Homer is just Flanderized characters and fawning celebrity cameo, and it's from two seasons earlier than Lisa the Vegetarianyet you're holding that season up as "classic Simpsons", interestingthrow yourself on a raging fire, OP, you're some serious retardant
>>153731777It was funnier than Lisa The Vegetarian so it doesn't matter. You probably just want to defend Lisa because you're a pedophile.
>>153732037>he doesn't know the most ardent critics of lisa becoming a bitch are the people who want to fuck her most
Any episode where either Bart or Lisa behave like actual children. The much maligned Lisa vs Malibu Stacy episode has a great scene with Bart losing his shit because nobody's paying attention to him, very much accurate to the sort of attention-seeking boy he is. But now that he's no longer that attention-seeking kid but just a character things happen to for laughs, that sort of joke would never happen.Even after Flanderisation, the show is still generally entertaining so long as these shitty, deepest lore millennial writers have a veteran to slap them silly when they want to give yet another Q-list character a backstory. Nobody ever wondered shit about Bumblebee Man, Sara Wiggum or Mayor Quimby. We didn't need to know their thoroughly uneventful, unfunny backstories for a full 20 minutes and change. Those writers, and every ignorant savage that allows them to continue existing, shall die screaming.
>>153732529>Even after Flanderisation, the show is still generally entertainingretard moron loser
>>153732529name one (1) instance in which Lisa acted like an actual 8 years old, other than that scene in the water park when she pretends to cry for her mother
>>153732529>the show is still generally entertainingWhy would you just throw out any credibility to your post like that
>>153728950Marge Be Not Proud couldn't really happen after season one.
>>153733769>Marge Be Not Proud>Season 7 Episode 11???
>>153732589>>153733136Generally entertaining ≠ the best shit ever. I'm just saying that it's not the worst shit ever. It's better than a lot of other stuff being put out these days, not that that's saying much.
>>153733033In the very episode I mentioned already, genius. While she eventually goes her usual route of becoming the liberal notice, her initial reaction to the release of the new talking Malibu Stacy is pure, unadulterated kid hype. She loses her fucking mind with excitement, counts down the days, and aggressively fights through a crowd of screaming girls (and Smithers) at the mall just to grab one. iirc, she even insults a girl just to catch her off guard so she could grab her Stacy. Actually, I think Smithers doesn't show up until later in the episode. Also, Bart on the Road. She has her sleepover with Homer at work and gushes over Langdon Alger, a boy she has a crush on in the other class. Then Homer says "I didn't tell anyone about Langdon Alger!" as proof that he'll keep the secret about whatever Lisa needs to tell him and in very 8 year old girl fashion says "ew… him? I don't like him anymore."Also, here are some words that rhyme with Corey: gory, story, allegory, Montessori. And every kiddy feud she gets into with Bart. Especially ow; quit it. As a younger sibling myself, I've done similar shit to my brothers and sister. Shall I list more?My other main gripe with the show, beyond the ridiculous loreshit now, is that they barely act like a family anymore. They're just roommates or neighbours now. Might as well be watching Seinfeld or Friends
>>153735423>notice=Mouthpiece. Fucking autocorrect.
>>153730380read the op post againit's a hypothetical about which classic simpsons episode would change the most if the characters were written the way they are in the later episodes
>>153735276>it's not the worst shit everbut it IS! Even Family Turd is more soulful and there's more effort put into it than ANY zombie era Simpsons
>>153728950lisa the vegetarian is season 7 episode 5. by that point lisa has had several episodes of the writers riffing on her conscientious bleeding heart tendency.
>>153735423>While she eventually goes her usual route of becoming the liberal notice>eventuallyWithin two or three minutes of the start and until the end of the episode?
>>153739567Do you need "eventually" defined for you?
Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington would be absolutely unwatchable if made in the current year
>>153740725thisshe would only shit talk the republicans and praise whatever demoturds do
>>153740604The connotation is "after a while", but it happens almost immediately.
