The problem with her as a character is she has no origin or cast of her own villains or really even her own supporting cast or civilian alter ego. Her actual literal origin is the real canon version of herself died and from alt reality shes a punk rocker totally different person called 'ghost spider' which no one even calls her irl. Thats not a superhero origin lol. This is why the spiderverse movies are dogshit too because Miles Morales cant exist as his own character he needs to be 'co-spiderman' or Peters sidekick his issue is similar he doesnt have his own cast of villains or a strong consistent supporting cast he HAS to be co-spiderman he cannot individually exist. A good superhero character has to have a good origin that is meaningful to them. "I am alt universe important character" is not a real origin it is relying on retconning something more significant and spinning it as a correction/improvement. Same thing with gwenpool who suffers from almost the exact same issue.If you look at someone like The Maker he relies on the intial run of Ultimate FF before he is integrated into 616 he has a solid book of his own, his own version of Doom and the FF villains, when he arrives in 616 he is a fully developed character.

I enjoy Peter not killing unless he has to and I celebrate Batman having a no kill rule but it works because those are cornerstones of the character and interact with their own hangups and past. It's not something that should be applied across the board to every character or every villain. At the end of the day it's usually the author's fault that villains get put into the 'should be killed' range in the first place so I don't particularly care when a character that has never had such a large personal hang up about never killing does so.
