How does Rumi even exist?In a scrapped storyboard it was revealed Celene killed them, though it sounds like Rumi's mom died in a classic "trying to take the death blow for someone else" way. IIRC the director has since said that this is no longer canon, probably because they plan to give Celene focus in the sequel. I hope someone can answer me this:So it was implicated that the main girl's mother hooked up with a demon, right? Then you'd think it'd lead her to the conclusion that maybe her mom was onto something regarding demons might not being that bad but it never gets brought up. That section was so confusing. The movie gave a feeling that there's going to be some big reveal about her past but it never really happens beyond the initial she's a half demon. Or has it never occurred to them that maybe people in this hell world are not so black-and-white like the original hellborn demons themselves?I think I'm thinking too much about it.

They have a scene with Rumi begging her mother to kill her before she hurts anyone. That's not a scene for 6 year olds.
