>>153738039I don't like this approach to voice casting, especially the ones who were fucking terrible in this like Aaron Paul, but I still think it's a misconception that budget for the voice cast is taken straight out of the animation budget. The larger issue is the one year between each season, no amount of money puts more hours in a day and there's only so much that can be reasonably put through an animation pipeline in a given amount of time. If Amazon didn't give them the money for the celebrities I don't think they give them that money for anything else, because like OP is saying they just want the big names to draw in the normies.
