Do you think the premise for this is a little unbelievable? Like, kids have the power to conjure up basically Pokemon and they're giving them up out of boredom? If the parent insisted they don't have space, that's one thing. But how does a kid get bored of their talking animal friend?
Don't overthink it man
Illegal imaginary friend fight clubs.
>>153742333Normally I wouldn't, but Foster's feels like it's trying to be a bit more grounded in its world compared to CatDog, Cow & Chicken, Dexter's Lab, or even Powerpuff Girls.
>waaahhhhhhhhh ppl r being creative
>>153742340it would be perfectly legal, imaginary friends are repeatedly shown throughout the show to have less rights than dogs
>>153742340I don't remember, isn't that an episode?
>>153742881No, I made it up.
>>153742847>you could adopt Eurotrish or Berry or Coco and do whatever you want with them

>>153742319There’s probably a stigma in this universe for having an imaginary friend past a certain age, just like this universe. Also a lot of kids involuntarily give up their imaginary friends, it’s not like you usually have totally autonomy at that age and nobody wants a blue dildo who fucks shit up walking around the house
>>153744195is there any stigma against keeping an imaginary friend as a
>>153742319the original premise is dog park. foster's dog park. that's why it has flee episode and toy episode together
>>153742319Yes, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends requires some suspension of disbelief. That's how you engage with comedy that has a fantastical premise.
>>153742319stupid thread
>>153742319the autism and seethe over the show always baffles me
>>153742319Fridge Horror time:>None of the imaginary friends in Foster's Home are real. They only exist in the minds of the children who create them, and in the minds of the human residents of Foster's Home.>The job of the human residents is to keep imagining that these friends exist after a child gives one up, so that the child isn't burdened with the guilt that he may have killed his friend just because he no longer believes it's real.
>>153742340>>153742881>>153742847>>153742977Uh noThis happened, the episode had teenagers creating imaginary friends and putting them to fight each other. These are the competidors.
>>153744195>>153742319I recently rewatched the show SO IM READY TO GIVE PLENTY OF ANSWERS The show actually adresses several of them. Most imaginary friends are created when the kid is like 3 or 4, and as they grow up it usually becomes harder to create them, and its impossible for adults. Many children simply outgrow their friend.... as they don't age mentaly or physicaly. Also saddly, the show says that many kids create imaginary friends to blame them for things that they did, or just because they need something at the moment (like a scizor or tv), which is why there are so many object-friends.For parents its probably a logistical nightmare too, you suddenly has to feed and house a new creature that can be a snot monster or a 7ft tall dinosaur. I wouldn’t be surprised that one of the reasons Wilt has problem being adopted is that he is too fucking tall for most homes.
>>153742319>Autistic tard watches whimsical show for kids about imaginary friends and tries to poke holes in the "lore"
>>153742319Kids get bored very fast, imaginary friends would be treated as a trend you give up at a certain age or else you’re a loser, kind of like toys. The real bs is them not being used more by adults for workplace activities, Madame foster and the scribbles episode are the closest we got to that
>>153750422Coco and Hareman get jobs outside of the mansion in different episodes. But we also learn that some stores have "no imaginary friend" clauses for hiring - which was a gag, but when you think about it, makes sense.

>>153754341Fair enough, I’m half asleep
>>153754029Its kind of a mess. Its like it was thought out as a movie rather than a show, so they had to flanderize Bloo to make the show work, to the point that he doesn't feel like the same character. It still has some good episodes in all seasons tho, but the best are the specials, like Wilt's story, The World movie and pilot.
>>153742333Word. Just enjoy all the sweet rule34 of Mr Herriman pounding Frankie's puss.
>>153754818>kind of a messI mean there’s no real overarching storyline, almost every episode self contained. maybe because it was one of those early “there’s no strong continuity, it’s mostly episodic with occasional callbacks” not quite lore cartoons (like Jimmy Neutro) it feels off to modern audiences
>>153750349There's also the episode about how babies can pop them into being basically unfinished and unconsciously
>>153753027For a quick sketch, that wasn't bad. They could've easily made it bad by dragging the joke out into one of the long sketches.
I'm not too familiar with the lore, but teenagers can create imaginary friends still right? As in horny teenagers? As in if this premise were real there would probably the sex monsters whoring themselves out on every street corner
>>153758167Speculating here but I think the ability to create must have some sort of genetic basis of strong brain elasticity alongside a great sense of imagination when you’re young enough. Like Mac has been buddies with Bloo since he was 3, Terrence as a teen is able to make Red (the dumb but sweet block guy) but he really struggled with that which goes with having a diminished ability to create as you age. Plus Mac’s mom had her own when she was a kid per the pilot and Craig has said Frankie had her own too but they never got to make that movie. Like we see other kids with friends like Goo, Louise and Richie but they seem to be the minority in a world where it seems like the majority of kids and families have to seek out adoption because they presumably don’t have the genes and/or skills or at least have the foresight to adopt and not shop so to speak. if anyone of any age could make a friend, I feel like the earth of FH would’ve been well exhausted of resources by now.
