I am re-reading Spider-Man, and I had a horrible realization. Dan Slott killed my love of Doctor Octopus. I'm hoping the more I read I'll fall for the character all over again, but I found myself annoyed and ready for TASM#3 to be over and was releaved when it was.

The hype up to the first Spider-Man movie was the most excited I'd ever been in my life and the night I saw it is to this day one of the happiest of my life. I started getting the comics right before Maximum Carnage and consistently bought the comic every month, suffered through the Clone Saga, the Byrne/Mackie relaunch, Sins Past, and One More DayThen Dan Slott came around.

Literally nothing Slott has ever written actually matters and can easily be ignored/retconned with zero consequence to a future story
