The Cyclops/Jean/Wolverine love triangle is the worst thing in X-Men, which is why X-Men Evolution was so good since it completely did away with it.
>>
Dude if that's even in your top fifty you ain't read shit.

Nobody reads comics on here

It is. It brings out the worst in all three of them. Jean and Scott has appeal to it but it's too attached to the love triangle. For this and other reasons, Scott and Emma is the better ship for Scott.
>>
Man stfu and just make a normal X-men discussion thread. This shits already fail. Nobody cares about that

Instead it got a Cyclops/Jean/Rogue love triangle and Scott chose the worst option.

That brought out the absolute worst in him though. People who liked that don't like Cyclops, they like 'rightclops', who was just Diet Magneto.

I grew up on X-Men Evolution. Then they made the X-Men movies and I couldn't understand why they turned Scott into a dick.
Also I didn't find out until much later that Rogue is supposed to be OP as fuck. Permanently stealing the powers of Carol Danvers.

I don't think his love for Emma was the sole cause of that

Sorry anon. You see, Rogue? She's for me.

Tell that to me, currently I am communicating to you from the middle portion of her chest, between her two breasts, tucked and stowed away into her bra. It's quite snug in here, but I get good reception. It was built into my antique diver suit that I am using so that I am not drained of my life force by these huge mammaries. I only could afford a small amount of Pym particles, thus the antique diving suit.

Yep. Jean should get more character arcs. Maybe her dealing with a particularly annoying guy on the team or having to seriously debate and think over some of the issues mutants face could be one direction. Kinda like Rightclops except she's more of a debate team person and is moreso for the same dream as Chuck. And it is a bit of an exercise in patience since she can read minds and see how to dismantle their arguments but then realize that when she reads them momentarily, a person can adapt and change their mind. The only way to make this tactic effective is to understand them further and to read deeper into their history and to do that is to breach that privacy further and that is a step too far. So she has to then not read minds that far and grow to become more effective and charismatic.
Oh and undo Bobby being gay.

I blame Spike.

Ey Tone, whatever happened there?

Isn't it a love square at this point with Emma?
>>

It at least made some narrative sense.
Scott's and Rogue's powers keep them from getting close to people even if they can blend better than Kurt and Beast and they're unsure of their family situation so you get stuff like spending Christmas together.
Also their powers force their fashion choices to come off as obnoxious when they''re just trying to protect people.

If you look into the social aspect it makes sense why Scott knowing on some level what it's like to be an outcast wants to help Rogue in that fashion, and because of that aura Rogue sees Scott as the leading figure in the gang of accepted weirdos and looks to him for approval and affection she can't find or see in others.

The unfortunate thing was so much was done setting up those ties that by the time Jean and Gambit come around they seem tacked on.

For a long time it really wasn't even a love triangle, it was Jean and Scott and then Wolverine lusting after her and Jean thinking he was a bit creepy. The real triangle is Scott/Jean/Emma.

You can't leave Logan out, Emma is the only one who hasn't had sex with Wolverine yet

I guess they're set up for cute magi gift shit
>take Cyclops's powers so he can go see blue and green for a while
>he spends all the time helping an amateur cope with pressure washing everything she sees
