If anything Imperial getting cut was due to event fatigue and the comic budget funneled to the X-men and back to back events. Plus Nova, Black Panther, SHe-hulk, and Guardians are all coming off of shit selling runs that couldn't even reach 12 issues. The only thing that had hype coming out of the even was the Inhumans return and Star lord's semi heel turn and neither were followed up on.

She Hulk and Black Panther were just bad fits. Stop trying to frame every genre imprint around the same batch of earthbound MCU synergy characters!

Imperial didn't have the juice but Annihilation was never the biggest seller. Modern Marvel, desperate for a hit, tried to ramrod their event slop format on a burnt out audience tired of being jerked around.

This and Nova were fun books. I have no hope for Steve Foxe but Exiles would have been a better fit a launch fit too.
Modern Marvel should have been sensible and launched the post Imperial books as intentional minis and the best one had a chance for ongoing.

Also realizing that "Nova: Centurion" was a bad title, they should have been cheeky and called it "Nova For Hire" or "Nova: Space Hero for Hire" so audiences knew what the premise was

I think if they got the original planned 10 issues they might have gained some steam over time. According to Icv2 Nova seem to be going up and She-hulk was stable. They seemingly have no room for lower selling titles especially if that shit slot said about books getting cancelled based off debut pre-orders is true. Midnight being spidey and the fucking X-men with Hickman is proof enough that they gun shy on anything below A-list.

That's probably why the event that was about the return of the inhumans didn't have an inhuman tie in or spin off. They aren't even getting the chance to fail. I guarantee it's only because of Hickman's weight they even got that much. The guy seems to have some sort of preference for even without ever actually writing an inhumans title.
