I’m just gonna say it, Claremont’s X-Men is carried HARD by the art. The Claremont/Byrne stuff is genuine brilliance but everything else varies in quality depending on the artist. It seems around the JRjr era Claremont started to be less concerned about being subtle with putting his fetishes into stuff.
