Just watched it in full, some thoughts...-It's funny that Jax's "arc" took up most of the movie while delivering very little is funny; doesn't Pomni's ability to communicate with Jax internally (and even Zooble's arm breaks the "barrier") refute the idea that it's "too late", and make this just another coping mechanism on Jax's part? It'd be cool if this was the first ever un-abstraction maybe.-Building off that point, I always figured the cellar worked like a video game loading zone that Caine opened; when the circus floors open in Episode 8 it's nowhere to be seen. I'm shocked they didn't just use this as the explanation, and in fact contradicted it with all the abstractions swimming around during the (very cute) ending montage (that I teared up a little during).-Caine's arc was my favourite in the series and it was very well done, and its visual symbolism was a lot stronger than Jax's mind stuff in my opinion. From the original clips I found Jax choking Pomni to be the coolest but they didn't really go hard enough especially after Caine's rage in Episode 8.-I think most of the internet stuff was unnecessary if sweet, it's weird that their irl counterparts are presented as significant (especially since except Jax, the whole cast has been AGAINST the escapism that the digital vs. real selves dichotomy implies-I wish it tied up more loose ends in the lore. All in all it was not bad, I'll have to watch the whole series again soon.

I think Jax's ending is as obvious as a hammer to the face. It's a reflection of how goose saw herself before transitioning, and her "bad" ending. Caine looks up each living human's name and learns about their real lives. He then relinquishes of the blue circle from Episode 8 and makes his way back to the circus. As he's about to walk into the tent the Moon and him talk about his regret and she says she loves him and he remarks how he never programmed her to say that. Caine goes inside, cures Pomni's glitch effects, and apologizes to the cast while offering them greater control over the circus and an open layout for the adventure worlds. They reluctantly accept and we end on a montage of them, now all equals, expanding the circus, painting a mural of all the humans, and generally, genuinely, enjoying their circus lives.
