Yesterday it was just a rumor, but today Christopher Cantwell has confirmed that he is joining Lanterns season two.Tom King and Damion Lindelof are leaving and showrunner Chris Mundy is staying.
>>153782998>Season 2Fucking how?
>>153783332THE FIRST SEASON WAS JUST TOO GOOOD! IT WAS SO GOOD EVEN 4CHAN LIKED IT SO THEY HAD TO MAKE ANOTHER SEASON!
>>153783332Theres like 10 lanterns
>>153782998Season 1 already came out?
>>153783405no i was joking >>153783365theyre just pretending its so good it deserves another season but its really just contract obligations
>>153783465>its really just contract obligationsSource? I want to believe, but I need proof.
>>153783487why the fuck do you think velma got a second season? it wasnt because it was making money. its because they signed a contract and that contract wanted 2 seasons, i dont really have any proof on hand but lindmoff? was basically asked to leave once s1 was wrapped up with filming.
>>153783549>i dont really have any proof
>>153783715you dont need any proof anon, this is just par for the course with most modern tv shows.
>>153783332>>153783365>>153783369>>153783465>>153783487>>153783549>>153783715Its not uncommon to invest into two season. Shit is filmed back to back, and they'd rather get content out as fast as possible if the iron is hot. The benefit is also making adjustments to the second season as they shoot depending on feedback. Not only that, but it's to ensure they have a clear schedule for actors involved. Just look at that Star Trek crap. No one liked it, yet they're obligated to crank out the second season
>>153783794you didnt need to (you) me, im already aware my man
>>153783836I was too lazy to pick and choose between the two of you
>>153783794>>153783760Why can't you just give me a source? You both sound so sure, so this should be easy to prove.
>>153785001you are clearly not a baby so im not gonna spood feed you.
>>153782998>Christopher CantwellThe crying Nazi?
>>153785001They can't give you a source because their fat ass can't be taken without a wide angle lens.
>>153785001>>153785398What source do you want exactly? They've done it with streamed shows. Again, look at Star Trek
>>153783332Same reason we got Man of Tomorrow despite Superman underperforming.
>>153785398ive got a skinny ass thank you very much. it makes me look fucking weird from behind.
>>153785723You're making an accusation and refuse to supply a source.>>153785769David Zaslov himself came out and said they're happy with how Superman did. This underperforming cope is a weird narrative.
>>153785821>You're making an accusation and refuse to supply a source.I just gave you an example of them doing this exact thing. Or are you just being obtuse about Starfleet Academy?
>>153785821>David Zaslov himself came out and said they're happy with how Superman did.Yeah, can't show weakness and have shareholders sell off their stocks.>This underperforming cope is a weird narrative. The Netflix CEO pointed it out under oath during the acquisition hearings. There are a dozen articles covering it and literal YouTube videos of the hearing confirming it.
>>153785847>he can't even give a source for starfleet Kek>>153785896>someone at another company gave their opinionThe head of WB has not only a different opinion but the opinion that actually matters.
>>153785932>he head of WB has not only a different opinion but the opinion that actually matters.Sure thing...Zaslav is stoked despite the fact that Superman only got half the ticket sales of Man of Steel. Makes perfect sense. Obviously the Netflix CEO lied under oath...risking jail for no good reason. ...I really should stop wasting my time arguing with retards.
>>153785932Okay>https://trekcentral.net/star-trek-starfleet-academy-season-2-wraps-filming/That was in February of this year this was reported, a full month BEFORE season 1 had even finished airing on streaming. The show is dogshit, yet they preemptively ordered 2 seasons immediately. Even TNG did this
This is legitimately one of the worst comics I’ve ever read I implore you all to read it
>>153782998Who?
>>153786005Ironic that you call me retarded when you think the Netflix guy sharing a different opinion means he is lying.>man of steel mentioned for no reasonOh, you're one of those people.
Kyle Chandler only signed on for one season. Is Cantwell an upgrade over King & Lindelof?
>>153786058Where does this say that Paramount ordered both at the same time? Season one was ordered in March, season two in October. All I got out of this is that Paramount were happy with season one so they ordered more. It sounds like WB did the same with Lanterns, but you're saying both can't be true. I'm on your side here, I'm just asking for proof. >>153786136Yes. My shit is an upgrade over King and Lindelof.
>>153786196>All I got out of this is that Paramount were happy with season one so they ordered more. Before it even aired? Again, you're being incredibly dumb about this. Season 1 didn't even air until January. How is it not back to back?
>>153786307>How is it not back to back?>>153786196>Season one was ordered in March, season two in October. All I got out of this is that Paramount were happy with season one so they ordered more.I already explained how. Now you're calling me dumb when you didn't read my post. Maybe this dude is right >>153785398
>>153786381>Season one was ordered in March, season two in October......You do realize how long it takes to shoot these things, right? You just proved my point they were shot back to backWhat are you even arguing anymore? This form of shitposting is just odd
>>153785769If WB spent half as much on making good films as they do on worthless influensers to promote them they wouldn't be so shit.
>>153786650The worst part is how transpararent and fake it sounds. Like someone going to McDonalds and trying the Big Arch and saying that it makes McDonalds deserving of a Michelin star.
>>153786649A lot less longer than it takes to sit down and watch them.
>>153786136>Is Cantwell an upgrade over King & Lindelof? No, Cantwell stands for "Can't write well", he's managed to make a Iron Man comic run worst than both Bendis and Slott's
>>153788763>one page is still making chuds seetheThis was literally the best Iron Man run since Taylor's Superior.
>>153788930I hope that yer baiting, Shit-talking a depressed guy that saved the world a thousand times while you can't barely save a city block is just vile (also at least Tony gets an statue, nobody's gonna remember Hellcat in the city of hundred heroes)
>>153789043>he's literally judging a whole run based on one bad page
>posts a more accurate ring than used on his show Oh well atleast those 2 hacks are gone maybe we get something decent salvaged
>>153785896>The Netflix CEO pointed it out under oath during the acquisition hearings. He also claimed Superman did well during that same hearing, which you think would've got someone to grill him about the contradiction but didn't
>>153789151>Implying i didn't read this whole shitass runFirst half it goes nowhere with Hellcat just being this toxic asshole companion, second part of this run (the 'cosmic') was a boring slog, when i say that both Bendis and Slott's run were better i mean it is an actual feat, this run adds nothing to Iron Man and has no "at least it" arguments, you can literally ignore it as it changes literally absolutely nothing.
>>153782998who
>>153789398Oh, you just have shit taste and don't understand what you read.
>>153790200>can’t even attempt to defend his slopI accept your concession for the anon you responded to.
>>153783794Indeed multi season contracts from the get go are a thing.Imagine they don't. Or heck, don't imagine: Look at Gravity Falls. They did only a 1 season contract. When the show ended, it was a massive hit, but everybody that worked on season 1 got hired for something else before season 2 even started production, because only a 1 season contract, so when they wanted to do season 2 they had to hire lots of new people quickly for it. Dana among them. It's just less of a production hell to do a contract for 2 seasons, just so you have time to see if the shit sticks to the wall and you need to approve a third season.
>>153785932Lmao so you really think the guy selling a product won't say that it's good? How retarded are you anon? On a scale from 1 to 10, is it an "I can't count" maybe?
>>153790251There's nothing to defend when he's rejecting the very premise of the run. He's against what the run is about on a base level. I was the same way with Duggan's run, which is why I stopped reading it.
>>153790296They are, but Anon refuses to prove that is what happened with Lanterns. Heck, his example of Starfleet Academy ended up being wrong since it was renewed months after the first season was greenlit.>>153790347See >>153789395
