So, thinking on it for a bit, yeah. Putting the abstracted in tanks was not the best idea. Like, Kinger and Pomni watching Queenie and Jax respectively was supposed to be endearing, a sort of "they're gone but not forgotten" kind of thing. But since they are basically corpses who can't think or feel, it's a lot more morbid than I think Goose realised. Sort of like having your dead wife stuffed and put on display.They should have just had Caine figure out how to delete them completely and scatter their data across the server or something. It would have felt like a far more respectable burial.

Can Caine censor the thoughts of people in the circus? Episode 7 kinda took me out because Caine can supposedly hear everyone talk but they still openly spoke about Able and their plan all the way to the Chinese room, not even subtly. But if Caine can (well more is) censoring thoughts then what's the point? Thinking of the plan would be just as bad as speaking it and they had to be doing so all the way to the exit. I don't know, the episode always seemed contrived to me in that sense. But everyone in the show began to believe it despite how obtuse it even is for there to be a physical button in Caine's office to let them leave.

I would've made the ending more bleak, where they choose to swap consciousnesses with their real selves (by tricking them using the internet somehow) and doom their original selves into the Circus instead, but the big plot twist is all they've done is just cloned their Circus-selves onto their real-selves, so the original brain scans are still trapped in the Circus, and the new copies are blissfully unaware of this fact, just happy that they seemed to escape while having to forever live with the guilt of thinking they doomed their original selves.
