I feel like the show and Jax/Pomni's dynamic might have hit harder if Jax had forcibly adopted Pomni as his new Gangle and was more of a problem for her to navigate. Like getting to know the other characters through his eyes first, and then learning their perspectives on her own terms and realising how fucked up he is.I dunno. I'm not even one of the people who had a problem with Jax being a dark horse and slowly becoming more prominent, but I just feel like the character's dynamics with each other were this show's strength, and they're barely fucking used in favour of Pomni simply siphoning exposition out of everyone.This is the nature of a show with a core flaw, there's so many different directions it could have gone in that it becomes hard to critique without doing the "it should have just been a different show" thing, with a lot of people kind of agreeing, but no one necessarily agreeing on which different show it should have been.
