It's been a while, /co/.
When was the last time you thought of our former king?

I spit on your lack of loyalty.

A lot of cartoons have musical-themed episodes. Music Meister is the only one I actually LIKED, because they got an actually competent songwriter and singer.

It's not my fault most anons here weren't born during our lord's reign.

It was a fun episode in an already fun series. I still think about the weirdly meta ending of that show sometimes.

Remember when they tried to push him in the comics, even though he doesn't really work in that medium?

Him being a playable character in the Lego games was cute, though.

>when they tried to push him in the comics
That has literally never happened.
Being pushed in the comics would imply having an important role in an event or some big Batman story.
From what I remember, he was simply the bad guy in some anthology story, that might as well be just a cameo.

I'm not sure about the other appearances but the 2022 DC Pride writers specifically asked to use him in the their story for no other reason beyond liking him a lot.
Music Meister's gimmick just doesn't work in printed media. DC is having another grimdark phase so I doubt we'll see him in anything for a while unless another writer wants to indulge themself.
Absolute universe MM never, I'm afraid.

When the Black Lanterns were a thing (i don't care if they're still around I stopped reading comics when they killed all the Blue Lanterns and I realized everything could get undone in a few years and this was all pointless retcons and unretcons) and someone made art of him as a Black Lantern doing the thriller dance. I wish I'd saved it.

Or the art of Piderman getting attacked by Morlun during the Spider Totem bullshit.

I don't disagree but my point is that MM has never really had a "push" in the comics, partly because like you said, his gimmick doesn't work in printed media.
Maybe if they made like an OST for you to listen while you read, that'd be kinda neat.
>DC is having another grimdark phase
I actually don't know what specific books or stories you're referring to, DC right now still seems relatively positive to me, maybe even a little too much.
Unless you specifically mean the Absolute Universe, which is kinda dark I guess, not sure if grim tho.

Technically Black Lanterns never stopped being a thing, specially with Black Hand still shuffling around.
They're just not as big of a deal for obvious reasons, we gotta wait for Blackest Night 2 or Blackest Day or whatever they call the inevitable cashgrab sequel lol
>art of him as a Black Lantern doing the thriller dance
I'm like 90% sure I've seen that as well, fuck now I also wish I saved it.

What do you mean? He's right here.
