Went with my roommate. Definitely not the oldest person there at 30, there were a bunch of 30+ couples, and then actual children with parents who looked kind of shocked walking out lol. Median age was 18-20 I think.

Genuinely laughed at picrel in the movie. Didn't hate it, for once a trans creator kept the trans allegory somewhat subtle which is the first time I think that has ever happened.

But, while I understand that the brainscan thing ending up being true changes the stakes to many people's disappointment... Its something I figured from the start pretty much.
And it became nakedly obvious when Ragatha was talking to other people.

But, it makes sense that a copy created a moment after putting on a headset thinks it can just take the headset off and leave.

Yet, it also is legitimate that people aren't happy with this "twist." Especially ones who bent over backward to think C&A had Tron-style digitization technology..

Episode 7 felt like two half-episodes that got lazily hacked together. The transition from the beach scenes to Jax's abstraction dream to the actual plot of the episode were all so abrupt that I thought it was all Jax having schizo hallucinations at first.
Episode 8's Evil Caine shit blows the entire episode's budget on the musical scene, leaving the rest of it to be a bunch of stationary scenes where the characters are sitting around talking or getting tortured offcamera.
The finale is total Jax death which is wonderful, but that faggot should've been killed off in episode 7 and been the spark that directs the rest of the circus to being desperate for escape. Too much was wasted on this pointless character who hogs screentime.
The show really needed at least two more episodes to make everything gel.

Why didn't Caine clarify anything before?
