I honestly think it needed at least one more episode (I'm treating Ep 9 ans two episodes since it's double normal length - ie we needed 11). It's fine to have the Jax mind bender episode, but then we need a dedicated Caine episode followed by the *actual* final episode where they carry on with things.

All the characters are in low-key but extremely pronounced form here: Gangle being quiet but adding to the scene, Kinger being the wacky nonsequitir guy, Jax being playful and teasing but in a way that actually adds to the conversation rather than shutting it down, and Zooble firing back, and Ragatha being a great middleman between ALL four different characters at once. You know how hard it is to write a scene where a character naturally carries a conversation with four other people? Though, "naturally" - My one complaint is that her dialogue sounds very unnatural as she talks about her own life, and that in the context of the series, it doesn't make a ton of sense for these characters only NOW to be introducing one another. But that's far from the only realism problem the series has. You kind of take it on the chin that everything that happens seems to conveniently happen just a few days after our perspective character shows up

Went to the theater with my unspoilered terminally offline friend that only caught up to episode 7 for the movie.I was a bit pissed that the charlie fish spoiled Caine’s death but he thought it was a joke. I didn’t even tell him the whole thing leaked.We both really enjoyed it. The theater experience was fun, no smells. A bit of noise during episode 8 but everyone kept it cool for episode 9 besides a redditor that wanted pictures with cosplayers and announced it during the credits. Everyone sang to Caine’s song. There was a bit of tears shed for Jax and some gasps for his abstraction and Ribbit’s reveal. The biggest cheers were the Ragapom hug and the Abstragedy confirmation. All in all a good theater experience and I’m happy with the ending.Fun little show.
