Just got back from the theater. I thought the finale was fine. Everyone was coming to terms with not being real people and the bunny abstracting so I get why they weren’t in a jokey mood but I do wish it had some more humor. I think I laughed maybe once or twice? Like when Jax said ‘gay’. I also wish we just heard about the humans instead of seeing them, like if they were just cartoony avatars next to Youtube/blog/twitter comments or whatever. Can’t really explain why, it just bothered me seeing the real people, I think it would have been better to leave what they looked like a mystery. But I do feel the story was wrapped up nicely. Ended up like how I expected it would, with them getting admin powers and true freedom, but I was surprised that the mouth survived, how did he come back from deletion? While I'm mostly positive on the money I gotta say that ending the franchise with the silent plushie ads was incredibly awkward. And what’s up with bubble? So he just floated out into oblivion? I have to say I felt a tiny bit underwhelmed by both the English voice acting and the final animation quality. There were several shots that were noticeably rough (Jax crashing out at the beginning of E9, some PoVs of Pomni and Jax) and some of the lines didn't hit quite as hard as the Portugese.
