As a Jaxfag, I would like to state the following to all my other fellow Jaxfags in hopes of comforting their loss.The episode, and the ending to the series, would have been worse off if he lived. We've known deep down since at least episode 5 that his shit was fucked. You and I both know deep down if Pomni ended up saving Jax, it would have been a disgustingly saccharine and unsatisfying ending to the entire series. The whole point of his character is and always has been "you can't save someone who refuses to be saved." This is exactly what Jax wanted. Nothing could have been done to save him.And, if you really need to, you can headcanon that he's still alive in there. And if he is, then remember that in the end, he DID want to be saved after all. And perhaps that is enough for something to brew in your future fanfiction and comics.
